Sorry to hear that mate. but i think most dogs left alone with ferrets will kill them mate. i dont have any experience with that breed but whats the dog like with ferrets when your there to watch them and i would say that now the dog has done it once the chances are it will do it again but like i said i dont know the dog. hope u can sort it mate.

i said that to my mrs that they will keep doing that now i think i will stop using it now i only really use it while cleaning them out there court is massive so its not like they will miss it to much. i had another look today to see if i could see any scratch marks going up the wall but nothing but its the only way out that i can see. wounder if anyone else have seen a ferret climb up the face of a brick wall. was thinking i might put her back out but stand out there and see if she does it again because i still cant beleive she got out and i want to see it for myself.

Just been to check my ferrets in there out door run in the back garden and noticed one was missing complete panic searching the garden with no luck so went and got a day old chick and started looking over the neighbours fences when i seen her poke her head out of a hole. but by the time i climbed over she had gone, gutted. didnt see which way she went so had to guess and balance along another fence through thorns,stingers and prickels with just shorts on. still no luck just as i was turning back i thought i heard her sneeze so kept quite and waited then i heard some scratching but still couldn

unless u know someone who is breeding two dogs and u know them well how else are u meant to buy a pup with checkable history. so many people but adds in papers and mags saying this dog is out of so n sos dog lines and have been proven bull shiters or been breeding from stolen dogs. at least u dont get all that bull shit from hancocks they are what they are and you get out what u put in. and i understand people dont like hancocks breeding programe and so on but they are quite happy going out through the whole year killing anything there dog sees even if its breaking the law dont get me wrong i

but surly u would want to treat an injury in the field until u was able to get to the vets or maybe its just me not wanting to watch my dog bleed to death because i was worried about what someone might say. and i was asking about other injuries other than a broken toe or barbed wire injury because i know of a few stories from mates that there dog was attacked by a ram and another one when a dog got caught out and nearly crushed by cows and before someone says are they stock broken yes they are but was just in the wrong place at the wrong time and totally unprovoked. why when anyone asks a fe

Hi lads and ladies would like to know from those who carry dog first aid kits what do you use to make up your kits and any examples when you had to use it minor or major injuries and any examples of injuries that might be a bit out of the blue like maybe a kick or bite from a horse or a cow,ram,deer or bull that took you by surprised.

alright mate have u been down to have a look at his kennels and dogs? i understand what some people say about the dogs just being breeding machines i must admit i really didnt like seeing so many dogs in kennels with min attention but he seem to know everyone of his dogs personaly. he never tried to push any dog on me i spent about 3 hours down there chatting with him and looking over his dogs and thats after chatting with him and his daughter over the phone a few times asking questions before i decided to go and have a look. for me i really wanted to know the history of any dog that i brough

raw or boiled meat raw veg raw or slightly boiled mate. once season has started dont forget about whole rabbit with fur u can feed this raw but some people boil and take if off the bone because of worms i do both. think i will boil,just about to build kennel,will prepare bunnys etc once built,wifes abit squeamish with furry animals on kichen worktops.thanks for advice no problem mate let me know how it goes mate all the best billy

Getting dogs fit for the season

bike is a good idea if u go on ebay and put in walky dog its a brilliant bit of kit that u attach to your bike frame ive had one for years u can let them pull u which will build up the chest and also u have total control of the dog. ive used them with all my rottis and now with my lurcher and never been pulled off infact i even put my 2 year old son on the back of my bike in his bike seat. i did use just a lead the other week on the bike with my lurcher and something scared him and he paniced and got caught up in the back wheel so i would be carful with using just a lead. free running behind u -
ask your butcher for a box of boned out chickens mate cheap and the dogs love them and really good for them also lamb bones neck, breast and so on. marrow bones maybe some fish once a week. wouldnt bother with the dry food mate only if u run out of the meat and give the fruit and veg maybe twice a week and let them have access to plenty of grass. on this diet they should drink less and poo less and its easier to clen up after mate.

still young mate. and with shouting at dogs yes there is a time when u need to but most top trainers are very quitly spoken. i just think u have both intelligent and sensitive dog mate that needs lots of time spent on it and when u work out what sets it off u will be able to read the siuation and try to avoid it before it happens. also what age did u enter it mate because if its only 10 months then it could of been entered to young and that has messed up a lot of dogs mate. if i was me i would just keep it on a lead until it matures take it everywhere with u hope all goes well mate

when i first got my lurcher he was a bit nervous and still is a bit funny in the kennel wont always come out dont like parked cars or shouting and dont overly like being on the lead but once out and off the lead he is completly different dog. but if your getting annoyed the dog will pick up on this and probably get worse. maybe start again with training as if you just got it and work on the basics and give plenty of praise or try to only take it out when your not feeling to stressed and had a good day so your in a good frame of mind but im sure you have tried most of this but if u think that y

i would just leave them to there own devices mate its nature picking out the weak if they dont make it. also i read a book and one part of the book was about was it a good idea to help the runt feed in dog litters if it looked like it was not strong enough to feed itself and it said that they never made good dogs and most became aggessive when older and food posessive so for me i would let nature take its coarse mate. fair play with keeping the ferrets you dont sell mate i know simon whitehead has a piture in his book of a working one eyed ferret. hope all goes well mate
