    Its a walnut oil , looks 100% better but each to their own . And the old addage for oiling a stock is Once a day for a week , Once a week for month , Once a month for a year ........ Also it just a hunting gun so the varnish that was on it , gave it a very refelctive finish . I personally prefer a dull , or matt finish that the oil will give . Bust .

    Been a few guys talking about the stocks they have , and re-finishing them over on the rapid forum , which , as with most subjects makes you look at your own and start scratching your head . I had a mind to do mine anyway , so thought ide join in :laugh: This is the original finish that Theoben like to use , a very thick varnish . Good and long lasting , but it just don`t do the walnut any justice ....     Ok it seems that Neil has taken offence to my play on his words . For the sake of the forum , all i wanted to do was highlight the fact that the law is `vague` on our part . When i edited his post , all i intended to do was highlight the fact that - IF THE LAW MADE SENSE - We would have a standard . We would all be able to set our power with a certain pellet . We could say with an amount of certainty that our guns were within the limit , because they were set using `guidelines ` that enable us be certain we would not break the law and put ourselves and our sport at risk

    No im hopefully highlighting the need to make a standard test for ALL airgunners and make OUR lives easier . Whats the problem ? ok , here you go , IN CASE ANYONE MISSED HIS POST - if the law made sense, solicitors could`nt charge so much, think in a way plod likes it beeing so confusing, lets a few of them make up their own rules as they like, cases where guns have been downgraded by some areas will be no use to Phantom, what he needs is case law, and i think it all goes the wrong way, anyone heard any more about possible appeals regarding the fss stitch ups recently, everything
