I've just bought an rcom suro20 because my polyhatch kept letting me down been inconsistent I'm setting it this weekend to see how I go on hopefully it will perform much better and it was 160 brand new which I didn't think was bad atb.

I'm at work when they lay I've got a teepee so I'll teather him to that in a morning and put him back in at night when I'm home I think see how he gets on with that cheers for replies..

Help please what is the Best method to stop cocks eating eggs other than culling as I need him for breeding? And the eggs that are fertile or presume fertile I can't check because the thing eats them straight away any thoughts welcome..

Wouldn't like to comment on them on a cheap budget they might do the job but if I was hatching good stock that you might of payed abit off brass for some eggs I'd stick to the real deal in my opinion but I'm not saying they won't work. Atb

I've got a brinsea polyhatch that I've used for last couple of years but the temperature wasn't accurate and changing by it's self so I've just bought a rcom suro20 so hopefully I'll have a full hatch rate with everything been digital

Ye it's strange last year I had 20 set and about 6 hatched don't no what happened with them ?

She is an American x asil she threw more to the yank and she's got 4 American eggs and 4 asil eggs under her ye they turn out a stronger hen I think naturally hatched so just see how things go didn't want to mover her incase it knocked her off so she can stay put now. And thanks uk ye I've got a good 42 ish hatching now in a incubator so far I'm doing ok see how they turn out tomorrow cheers atb.

My broody she started sitting yesterday morning found her own place to clock so I'll leave her there she has a little clutch of 8 eggs under her so see what happens atb.

Hut I've just made just need to pen it in now and it's ready for some trios it's 4'x4' out of osb and 2x2 nice and sturdy

Nice job that they look a handy bit of kit saves a few trips to the motor nicely made good job I like that.

Just think about how a broody would do it they turn eggs ever time they move in the nest just do what has worked best for you in the past I've turned them every hour and just twice a day had good results both ways if it's automatic just leave it to it.

You can get a hover bater of eBay new for 77 there a good cheap bit of kit manual turn or get a second hand poly hatch automatic turner but they double in price a broody is best choice but not always possible I use incubator a lot there's a lot of choice on eBay atb
