no we have not got it wrong we are a working terrier club holding a working terrier show the act states working dogs can be shown to show the working ability are working terrier judges judge on the the terriers suitabilty for work NOT CONFERMATION WORKING TERRIER RULES NOT KC RULES AS THE ACT STATES IN ENGLAND A UNDOCKED TERRIER IN THE EYES OF THE ANIMAL WELFARE ACT IS NOT SUITIBLY FOR WORK as the owner has chosen if in england not to have it docked if your north of the border sorry we did not make your law , its time to unite

i have never been and will never go either bollox to em the onyl decent show of that size was lowther and thats finished please all support your local hunts and terrier clubs where the profit go,s into there funds and not someones pocket ultimately.if the truth be know our show ends up costing my with all the time and fuel and phone calls buts its all worht it when you see everyone enjoying themselves

thanks wurz there is a lot of folk that have read this and said same but how many show organisers will do the same id be interested to see there isnt many standing up and being counted on here maybe more interested in earning money than the actual working terrier

there is a hound show at the same show with classes for entered hounds isnt it illegal to hunt hounds but they havent pulled the class there its a bit double standards in my eyes and yes i know it is legal to use two hounds to flush ect im well up to date with the laws regarding hunting and hounds before we get any comments cleanspade find a vet that will dock your tails mate its easy all above board if they are to be used for working fair play to busterdog for making a stand a man that will be counted when it comes to hey lads hey i dont know you mate but id shake you by the hand and know tha

i fully understand where you are coming from and as far as i am led to believe it is illegal to charge anyone to show a working terrier thus turning the dog from a worker to a show dog there will be a raffle ticket system in place with a minimum donation of a pound per class entered this is a donation towards the club for working terriers everyone who makes this donation will then become an honary member for the day and will be eligible to enter there terrier in the fell and moorland best entered class with the chance to win one excellent prize there is no CHARGE PER CLASS JUST A DONATION TOWA

Well folks after reading the thread about the great yorkshire show refusing to let anyone enter a dog younger than three and a half with a docked tail even though working terriers have an exemption in place regarding the matter i as area rep for the south lakes fell and moorland working terrier club will be refusing to allow anyone to enter a terrier into our show without a docked tail unless it is in the border class the child handler or the family pet class this show is a working terrier show and that is what it will stay as i would like to encourage anyone else who is organising a working t

i was one of the members calling for the fell and moorland to withdraw there sponsorship for it two yrs ago at the agm i hope they have i didnt make last yrs to find out wether it did or not i would also like to add after reading this post i will not be allowing any dogs that havent been docked to enter our show in june and any one who turns up with on i will refuse entry into the ring unless in the child handler or pet class and i hope other show organisers will follow suite there is a legal exemption in place for working terriers reagarding docking so wat is the problem

here a lot of good reports of this stuff from the men of old times is there any of this gear left about or not also heard once this stuff was fetched to smithy that was when the the quality really did improve in the working ability id be interested to hear your views

if it was of a man with the first name c i have seen both parents work and can vouch for them he pupped them for a mate of mine both parents top class dogs and came from ireland we use the sire every weekend properly and have never seen him not do his job id say it was as there wont be to many weeton pups that age around in anglessy

ivomec 0.4 mill then another 0.4 mill for a terrier a couple of weeks after good stuff but use sheep stuff cattle gear a lot stronger it hasnt been tested on dogs so the vets ect will frown upon it we use it on all our hounds lurchers and terriers once a year unless they have a problem the past month i have been troubled with mange on two terriers its th first time i have been bothered by it as well must be a sign of the times manky old foxes roll on the repeal p.s like df said go steady using it on collies but said that we use it on sheep dogs and my lot have dog for a good lot of years and h

yes and maurices exact word where to me dont let em grind you down lad theyll try but if you jack theyll of won and youll get slagged even worse.the fell pack committee wouldnt accept him until recent yrs lol im damm sure they wont accept us lol
