    it wasnt found in water , thats a road its on , although water does run down the hill

    found it near a resevoir in a disused quarry , actually on the road upto the quarry about 200 yards from houses , i have seen badgers up there at night and first thing in the morning but i must say i didnt know what it was and it scared the sh1t out of me and my mate hahaha

    today was the first day on the new permission i got last week . firstly id like to thank Charlie " Diggermad " for selling me a mk3 finder and collar late lastnite haha cheers pal Well heres how the day went ... I met one of my mates and a friend of his at the farm at 9am this morning after finally de-frosting the van , heres a pic of when we pulled up so we headed across the fields to the wooded area , had a brew and a chat , collard the ferts up and had a mooch for the warrens , the first one we came across was a little 3 holer so netted up and dropped a fert in , within 30 s

    hope this cold snap will help out as iv just landed a decent bit of permission and need to get onto it asap for the farmer , heard alot of people havnt seen alot this season when others have seen lots , hope next season picks up and plenty of breeding gets done for the sport

    we myself and diggermad went for a butchers at the rats with his two terriers earlier today , dogs knew were the rats wer but unfortunatly it was under concrete floors in the stables so we moved across the farm to where the family chickens are kept and got some good marks from the dogs but again there was to much livestock in the pens to let the dogs go and have a closer look plus with it being the first day on the permission we didnt want to upset anyone as you can imagine . anyway we decided to have a walk of the land and see what was about , first thing we saw was a nice 4/5 hole warren

    myself and Diggermad are having a nosey around this new found land tomorrow and try and bash a few rats and see what the land has to offer in regards to rabbits , spoke to the owner earlier and she is made up that i am acting so quickley as she has been let down loads before , hope we get some in the bag and il be taking some pics

    only thing il struggle with is the rats as iv no terriers at the min

    well basicly iv just got back into ferreting and instead of poaching like i used to do iv been knocking on doors for permission , whilst on my way to work this morning i drove past a farm / equestrian centre and decided to knock on and ask the question ... turning up in my work clothes and not some scruffy old rags i think helped and i spoke to owner politely which is a must . now iv been given the whole job lot of pest control on the grounds from ratting / pigeon shooting and as much rabbiting as i want over 59 acres !!! very happy to help out in whatever way i can on the farm and
