    hi lads ive just got another piece of permission to put Pheasants down. im going to be putting a gamecrop in it in the next week. only thing is its surrounded by marsh land and the only vehicle you will get on it is a quad bike. im needing to rotovate it and was thinking of making a T shape out of angle iron the width of the bike with a hitch on the leg and 4 or 5 lengths of angle iron pointing down to loosen up the soil a bit for mustard to go in. Do you think it will work or is my plan bonkers? Any advice welcome.... Many thanks Andrew

    Hi lads i know this is a touchy subject but pest control is pest control. Have any of you lads came across any signs of cubs in dens or any about ? I dont like digging cubs but a farm ive got the pest control on has a fox coming every night to his chickens. Its as lamp shy as hell but came across an earth clean scraped out only 200 yards from the chickens thinking this could be a dog fox feeding a vixen and maybe cubs but i thought it was still early up this way for cubs in south west scotland ( Ayrshire ) have you seen aby signs of cubs or dug to any.     Locator box will turn on but cant turn collar on with it for some reason when i should be able to. Do deben take them back and service them ?

    Hi lads, im having problems with my mk3 locator, have lost the magnet ages ago for turning on and off, but can use the locator to turn on and off. Brand new batterys in locator and collar but wont turn on at all. I use mine for terrier and ferrets ( just extend collar) got a new area of ground wanted to get on top of the bunnys before the young ones are about. Any advice what i can do to get the bugger working ? Many thanks Andrew.

    Hi lads im looking for advice on making a few artificial earths on some of my ground. Ive got a good supply of 9 inch ribbed plastic pipe ive heard people saying cut it in half so you get 2 pieces out the one length. What i want to know is would half the pipe be big enough for charlie and what shape to make the tunnels ? Do i curve them or just put them straight. Also what do i build the chamber with and what size to make it. Many thanks lads. Andrew.

    Hi lads I've got all my wood delivered on Friday and so far have built 2 ladder traps and a Larsen trap. Will build the rest of the Larsen's tomorrow and maybe Monday. this is the first year i will be using crow / magpie traps i normally shoot the buggers. I'm hearing all different story's about what time of year to set your traps so i thought i would ask on here. I know the basic principles of positioning and bait etc. The only thing i'm not sure on is what time of year to set. Some people say now others say February and others say March.     Hi all i do the Keepering for the smallish syndicate I'm part of Iv'e got my Pheasants and Partridges in the pens and we've ordered 50 ducks to put on our duck pond. what do i do with the ducks as this is the first year I'm doing them. The pond is dug out of a marshy area but is dry round about the pond for about 100 yards then it gets gradually wetter. Its dense reeds around the whole area. I feed the pond every year with barley and potatoes that we get from the farmer that shoots with us. how do i get reared ducks flying Iv'e heard you feed them away from the pond and drive them home. Any he

    with the end of the electric rope what do I do ? I've got the live clip at the start end. At the gate spring do I loop the electric rope round the insulator and tape it ? Andrew.

    Thanks mate, its not really telling me how to attach the cables to the wires and how to finish the ends of the wires. do i attach a wire from my energiser onto my wires around the pen and at the last insulator do i just fold the wire back and tape it. many thanks.

    Hi, I'm going to be putting up an electric fence around my new pheasant pen tomorrow. As my poults come a week on Monday i want it up and running for a week before the birds come just incase. I've got a 12v car battery, a spool of electric rope, screw in insulators, and an energizer. how do i set up the fence for foxes ? The energizer has a black and a red crocodile clip for positive and a black one for negative that clip onto the 12v battery. Theres a red crocodile clip and a green crocodile clip coming from the unit. What do i do with these, What height do i set the wire/wires and how far

    Hi for sale i have an 8 month old black and white Springer spaniel dog. Kc registered. Just started real training with the dog in the past month or so. i need to sell this dog due to change of work and unfortunetly have no time to do anything with him. he has many field trial champions in his lines and also has an international field trial champion. I'm not looking to make any money on this dog I bought Brodie for £500 and I'm looking to sell him for £400. No time wasters please.
