Hi mate, I was exactly the same as you but i knew of a few people who shot i am now 17 i have been beating for 5 years and have sent away for my shotgun certificate i have had all the experiance sent down from all the shooters on our 2 syndicates. I also help alot with feeding pheasants and Fox and other vermin control. I have been shooting a shotgun and full bore Rifle for 3 years under the owners close supervision. So keep in there mate keep in with the keepers and as long as your keen enough you should get in with them and you could use one of them as your countersigniture on your shotgun -
Also is it legal to gas foxes ? Andrew

Thats what the farmer wants so thats what he gets. Cant let the farmer down or my Uncle will lose his permissions. Do any of you know what to use to gas them ? Andrew

Hi lads, My uncle has been asked to get rid of rabbits on a farm near him he has been asked to gas them. He was wondering what to use to gas them and how much per hole ? I dont want arguements on here i just need advice for him. Regards Andrew

Are snare clips the flat metal plate with two holes side by side ? All my snares have these on them they are on when i buy them in bulk.

Hi mate, We have got all the fence holes snared and all the runs through the syndicate this was a last ditch attempt as there are two known fox dens across the road in the fields. i know they are being used because they stink of fox. If we get any foxes can they be thrown in with the crows and things ? Also if i shoot any deer can i use the guts and blood in the pit ? also rats and things from the traps ?

We have a big problem with crows at the moment steeling the eggs from the pheasants we do our best to shoot them could we use the shot crows in the Midden. and also if any farmers have dead lambs or sheep could we use them ? Andrew Also how many snares should i use on a 6 foot round Midden ? And what height off the ground to set them is it just the usuall 8 inches ? or do i set them on the ground but open them to 10 inches ?

pretty much... do it in the heather or reshes, strim the tracks using strimmer & brush saw blade.... best to find a big clump of cover for it if you expect lots of foxes, have 2 or 3 snares per track and up to half dozen tracks. Ive made them in woodland also, brash in tight using dense branches. Hi, Would i just pit some thick branches in the ground as posts and then wind thinner branches between then create holes for the foxes and snare the holes. Make a 6 foot diameter circle put thick brances as posts then wind thin branches between them ? and what could i use as my ba

H lads, I have today found a new fox den on my Syndicate. It is definetly fox as it stinks and there are fox paw prints going in but none coming out. Can i legaly put a snare over the hole or just inside or just outside to catch the Fox ? many thanks Andrew

Hi lads, Can you use ferrets for rats with rat purse nets over the holes or do i put the nets over and use a smoke bomb to smoke them out ? HELP please Andrew.

Hi lads, Can i use shot grey squirrels to train my 7 month old lab for revieving ? Once shot let the pup go and retrieve them and see how she gets on ? many thanks Andrew

With any shot squirrels as they wont be eaten by me or my mate would u just bury them or can the squirrels be used for rat traps and fox traps ? Andrew

Thanks mate. I was thinking of going down with the peanut butter tomorrow and spreading it. Then go down on ether Tuesday or Thursday with my mate but i will check for sign of actuvity and spread more over the days if needed. Would this work ? Andrew

Hi lads, My mate has just bought an Air Rifle and i was going to take him up onto my small syndicate so he could drop a few Squirrels. Question is: I have a hide built and we will be hiding in it. Will i just put a post in the ground and smear it with peanut butter or what do i use to attract them to this spot so he can snipe them ? Any advice welcome. Andrew

Hi all. My wee cousin was given a Norica model 56 in from his uncle its a .177. It shoots at 6 fps is there any way to get it up to 12 fps. I will try anything for him to get full power out of the little air rifle. Andrew

Thanks mate. Also on our small syndicate we have problems with rats at our feeders whats the best bait to get them more active and i will take my wee cousin up for some action once his air rifle is sorted out .
