Your point stands for f**k all, a more skilled smaller fighter lost to a less skilled bigger fighter so went on the gear to get BIGGER then won(just) hence proving as if we don't already know that size matters as much if not more than skill. Whose more skilled Lomachenko or Callum Smith? Who'd you put your dough on if they fought?

Foreman, ropes loosened everything in Ali's favour and foreman fought a stupid fight that's his best win. It proves nothing either way. Saying a modern world champ who is so much bigger than Ali would have literally zero chance is ridiculous if you don't agree then that don't bother me one bit, no one can win this argument so just chip your opinion in and crack on with life.

Why aren't all the top welters to lhw's stepping up to heavyweight and claiming the greatest prize in sport then? They're all much much more skilled than every heavy out there? A big welter compared to a small heavy is the kind of size difference were talking about between Ali and fury

And if valuev was 6'2" he wouldn't have got a job boxing at the fairground, thanks for proving my point. Valuev had practically no boxing talent whatsoever yet was world champ due to size alone. Haye wouldn't fight fury though, because he knew he had enough talent to go with his size to beat him. klitchsko didn't have as much talent as haye but beat him handily though eh.

Course it does but when your talking about two people at the very pinnacle of their sport then they both clearly have ability, one of them has a 6 inch height and 60lb weight advantage though.

Both aren't massive punchers and both have great whiskers, I'd put my money on the taller (much) man to win on points if anyone disagrees that's fine there all just opinions and always will be.

Not sure what sporting intelligence is and how it differs from bog standard intelligence? And why bother comparing Ali's best opponents to Fury's worst? I don't really even like fury he's not the kind of sportsman or man I admire so no "fanboy" here. To be honest someone who thinks a 6'9" world champion has absolutely no chance and it's not even debatable to beat a guy from 60 years ago who was a bug's dick off getting beat by a 6ft 14 stone British champion then that's what smacks of "fanboy".

That's fair enough but if you compare what they was to what they are then the old timers won't stack up and you don't need any boxing knowledge to see that, every single sport with measurable outcomes have constantly improving athletes/records I don't see why boxing's any different other than there's no set criteria to gauge against hence it's open to opinion, and when its open to opinion it's human nature to let your emotions sway your thinking. Our school used to take us alton towers at end of year a few of us had a trip a piece as we sat down on coach 2 minutes later teacher drags me off saying I was banned from going after much arguing with headteacher and laying it on thick, "me mams bought me clothes and shoes specially for goin sir!!" Yes pal you look back and wonder how you survived age 10-16 ish from breaking in derelict building to drugs, joyriding and picking fights you've no right to be in and a thousand other things that could end it all, and that's before you hit the town and and have psycho bouncers to contend with?.
