quick question about action shots ..

I've a fujifilm finepix s 3380 with one of those built in lenses mate if that helps at all ? -
hi guys just a quick question. Am i right in saying that for action shots of animals , sports etc... the shutter speed has to be low and the aperature or light has to be high ? thanks in advance myles

was bored this evening so i had a go at using a very low shutter speed to try captures an LED light as i moved it . these were the results

yeap , bought my jacket and trousers set off cabelas , there brilliant. Very warm , quiet material , easy to clean. Very good product imo atb myles

so after much looking around i thought i was going to get the d3100 but the more i thought , it was well out of the realistic price range and tbh even that camera is probably to advanced for me until i get some experience. After a recent post on here about the l120 i was impressed and i have decided to go with this great little camera instead. Any of you guys got an opinion or experience on this camera before i make the purchase ? atb myles
