Hello again guys just have a quick question to ask I got a new permission the other day with 2 large grassy fields and 1 smaller beat field at the top. the beat field is a little to close to the local houses and roads for my liking and i wanted to know that if i set up my deeks in the grass field closest to the beat field would it attract the pigeons coming in for a feed on the beat or am i wasting my time ????

alri guys was out today again with bit more succesful (7 birds) still they werent coming in close enough and they were staying out well out of range the weather was overcast with strong winds

yea mate shes great although she did try and eat the ladt ferret we had the has an alright nose for marking but she is a bit on the wild side when it comes to bringing the kill back

thanks guys the tips sound great . the weather was over cast with the odd break in the clouds and fairly windy. im going to try again today and see how it goes .

Hi guys was out decoying today and had very little success. The birds were flying in about -100 yards away and then just turned away. im using 8 half shell pigeons . Before anyone asks yes my hidenet is set up proper so if any one has any tips please reply thanks

i have a small russel who has caught many rabbits coming out of the rabbit holes and also few under ground

haha funny watchman just thought id put a mention in because ive caught pheasants with this trap before so it does work not so sure about the brandy 1 though

:clapper: I agree with that Mate, I always feed raw, Skinned and gutted and after being frozen. If feeding cooked then remove the meat off the bone, (Cooked bones can be nasty). catch it skin it gut it freeze and then give it to the dogs freezing does kill tapeworm off

alri lads my names myles im 16 and im a year hunting now i have a jack russel terrier ,a saluki lurcher and 2 labs i also do alot of shooting with my baikal 12 bore single barrel shotgun i do decoying and lamping along with just general walkabouts with the gun [NO TEXT TALK] has any tips or wants to chat please do and good hunting

yea a mate of mine bought 1 for 600 i was going to aim towards something between a collie lurcher or saluki kinda mix for lamping and can they retrieve fallen birds???

hey man this is an old poacher trap dont no wheater you can use them or not but just get a piece of paper and make it into an ice cream cone shape and stick it in the ground with a few raisins in it and around it also but a little bit of bird lime around the edges of it so the pheasants head will get stuck be careful [bANNED TEXT] taking the bird out as they can be feisty enough

Hi guys i am new to lurchers and working dogs in general and i was wondering what sort of lurcher to to get. I will be doing lamping with the dog and i was wondering can lurchers be trained to retrieve fallen birds??? I am only learning about this sort off dog so any tips would be appreciated. Thanks a million lads

hey man about the ghille suit thing well igot volley ball netting and tied burlap strips to the netting in the end it turned out cheaper to just buy 1 off ebay or some where but thats how i made mine hope it helps
