  1. GO BACK AND BURN THE C***S HOUSE TO THE GROUND!
  2. I have two 4x4 vehicles and I use them both on the trails here in Arizona. My Willy's Jeep is a highly customized unit the fully locked axles and a 5/35 gear ratio makes it unstoppable. It is just kinda of small. My Ford F150 is powered by a 5 liter V8 and has a detroit locker out back and a limited slip up front so it does well on the trails. It's 8 foot bed is roomy and the camper shell allows me to keep some of my camping supply's stored on board ready for a weekend out. I also tow my Jeep on a two axle trailer for the more serious safari's.... Thanks SGS I am just writing this too practi
  3. Had a coyote hanging on the skinning chains and it came back to life and bit my leg very close to my johnson. So I whacked him in the head with a tire iron and started skinning his other hind leg and he came back around again nipping at my leg again so I pulled out the .22 revolver and gave him a shot behind the ear. Finished tube skinning him and took a break by the fire. It was 10 degrees Fairenheight that day I had killed 12 Coyotes and had 11 more to skin after the the that one kept coming back to life. I was jumpy and nervous for the next 2 hours while I skinned the remaining Coyotes. Had
  4. I have a 'Foxpro' remote control caller, I bought it in America, but you can get it here. YES it's the best thing out there! the remote works up to 700 yards so after all my previous experience with mouth blown calls, and a heap of dead foxes, it's still beats the competion into a pulp. The main advantage over 'personal' calls is that 'YOU' are not the scource of the squeeking, the scource is were you decide it will be, so you can hide up in a convenient spot sighting the Foxpro in an equally convenient location, then press button 'a' to activate the call and wait for the action to start. 5. I call Grey Fox , Bobcats, Coyotes and Mt Lions I use hand calls and electronic callers. I like the digital electronic callers because of the sound selections. Fox and Bobcat have a very short attention span. Changing the sound triggers their prey drive. I call continuosly and by changing the sound every 2 to 4 minutes produce more Fox and Bobcats. I like the Pilated Woodpecker distress and other bird distress sounds mixed in with rabbit distress sounds. Wildlife Technologies has the best sound library and E-callers in my opinion. As far as hand calls go I like the Primos line of calls. Dont
  6. In the USA we have wristrockects - a high tech derivative of your Caty's. I shoot .30cal lead balls close to 300fps. I use these when deer hunting in steep canyon's by putting some scent on a rocks and flinging them into the bottom of the canyon the deer or pig's then get nervous and make fo thje ridges - providing rifle or bow a shot...
  7. My Jack Russle is now 20 months old and I take her/Duce out about twice a week - When ever I get a chance I will nick a jackrabbit through the hind legs so it runs off this gives the dog a fresh trail.... We are permitted to take jackrabbitts all year. I have shot many Jack rabbits for her like this ... She has no trouble on a blood trail for deer she has blood trailed 4 deer and two elk this past season and had no trouble- two of the trails were over 12 hours old and the other four were 1 to 3 hours old the longest was about 1/2 mile and was a 15 hour old trail she found this deer in about 20
  8. Great I wish it were true - Once during an Elk hunt the animal rights people made a big camp and went banging cymbals , blowing horns and playing portable radios loud - When an elk bugled or a hunter would bugle (call) the animal rights wackos would come running. After a couple of days we set up an ambush , calling and bugling them right on in, then three of us stood up and plastered them with automatic paint ball guns , IT WAS GREAT FUN. Later on that night the local sherrif made his rounds to all the elk hunter camps looking for the paint ballers. He had a smile on his face when he was at ou
  9. Continued bow hunting saga- When we hunt Elk we put up a good sized camp the elk hunting units are at least one hundred miles from home so to stay comfortable we have a safari camp - we have a large cook/dinning tent. Sometimes we set two or three sleeping tents and a shower tent. One of our large tents is 13 foot X24foot. These camps are very comfortable. My brothers camps are famous for great cooking and a high success rate... My camps are usually for bowhunting Coues Deer and are generally smaller - Just as comfortable and the cooking is also great. I like to hunt the Coues in late Augus
  10. OK here goes - Bowhunting Elk is done one of three way's - Spot and Stalk - Calling (during the rut) and from ground blinds or tree stands over water holes similar to the African hide methods. I prefer to the tree stand method as it gives me time to place my shot and get a clean kill. Calling during the rut is loads of fun and can get scarry at times when you have a 1500lb bull screaming and belching spit 2 or three yards away and you cant move because you might spook himk or get gored..... Sphincter factor of at least and 8 on a scale of 1 to 10...... I think Elk are easy to hunt it is just g
  11. Tried to send ya a PM and it said you couldn't receive PM...

  12. In Arizona there is a lottery draw for several big game species - Elk , Antelope , rifle Deer , Bear and Big Horn Sheep. The application deadline for 2011 Elk and Antelope is early Febuary the application process is onlie at azgfd.gov. There are seperate hunts for archery and these are the hunts that I apply for. In our archery hunt camps we have a 95% success rate on 300+inch bulls. We have been hunting and guiding for elk since the early 1970's..... I allway's wait in anticipation for the draw result's - a Bull Tag in a good area is better than winning money in the regular lottery.....Just
  13. Was having problems getting on this site the past few days - Killed three dogs on the last local calling trip. We call coyotes , fox , bobcats(lynx cats) and lion durring the day. The only critter we are permitted to shoot at night is Raccoons. Some States allow night calling and Arizona used to allow it untill the eartly 1980's. Heard of a CD called "Doggin for Coyotes" and I will be watching it this week it is supposed to be good..... Sorry about the delay on answering the questions - I thought I got kicked off the site because I said somthing wrong and pissed off someone..... Thanks for t
  14. Poodle eater is the slang name for urban coyote they are soft footed and wiley - Tuff to hunt. Hope to post some pics of a few dead poodle eaters tommorow. Watched a movie titled Dead Men Walking it was about the IRA - Trying to learn some about England,Ireland and Scotland. Wow - it is a bit complex. All I know is that I like hunting and I repect all of you for getting out there inspite of all the cumbersome laws over there. Hunting in the USA is easy compaired to what you people have to go through...... sgs
  15. I PUT IT IN A BOX AND MAIL IT TO AFGHANISTAN
  16. The most common mistake made with any rifle is shooting it too many times in succession, heating the barrel up and this speeds up the wear. . . A hot barrel has a diffrant zero (point of aim) than a cold barrel I never shoot a good varmint rifle more than 3 shots and allow it to cool before shooting it again.. I have several long range guns and all are sighted in on a cold bore. I have shot thousands of prairie dogs (big gophers) and would allways carry two or three rifles to the field this allows for more shooting and less waiting. As for predators, one or two shots is all it takes and then i
  17. Yes I Googled it - cool dog's - I had a German Shorthair many years ago - GReat quail dog
  18. Sounds like a sad state of affairs. On here you will find many folk who keep proper Russel type terriers. Bred for work, as they always were, no bullshite registered crap or kennel club papers, they dont mean shit im afraid. That sounds great. We are looking forward to meeting everyone. I have been hunting over my Jack Russle for a year - Please read my other post from yesterday about hunting with "little dog". I have been predator hunting fo 35+ years and I am enjoying the company of my Jack Russle in the field. She is very agressive towards the Grey Fox we call in....thanks S
  19. Hello I have been taking a Jack Russle predator calling. For those of you who dont know what predator calling is please bear with me and I will try to explain it... Using hand calls or an electronic call we imitate distress sounds of prey animals - This can bring any predator in , you can never be shure what will show up.... I have taken two Mountain Lions over the call and have had several give me the slip and get away. Most of the time it is Grey Fox , Coyotes and Bobcats that come to the call.... The little Jack Russle will sometimes alert to the scent, sound or sight of these critters bef
  20. Hey thanks for the welcome, I don't understand some of the lingo on this site - I am a foreigner here.....
  21. Out here in Arizona we do some predator calling; I have been involved in the sport for 35 years. I like to call grey fox and Bobcats and recently have been taking a Jack Russlle on my calling trips - she has become very aggressive towards fox I have shot several over her I have only shot one Bobcat over her...I am the only hunter I know of that is combining calling and the use of a dog. She sometimes hears, smells or see's the critters and alerts me before I see them. I joined this site because I am open to any advice in this experiment..... Icould not post any pics so if you want to see some
