    I have tried these in my 10/22, they dont cycle well/ at all, the box says not for semi auto's too i think (with out looking im not 100%).

    I dont know what you could use that would be mild enouugh not to harm the finish of the wood? maby a thin solvent that evaporates quite quckly so not to seep into the grain

    I'd use a fine wire wool, getting progressively finer (you can get it like cotton almost) you'd have less chance of cutting in than with sandpaper.

    You wont automaticly qualify for an open ticket but it should speed up the ability to hunt with out a mentor.

    Yes i know exactly what you mean. I dont mind the noise so much as the fact its one more thing to carry once its off, could do with a lift up one that stays attatched to the top of the lamp like my mates got.

    I THINK its a slim barrel with a sleeve that screws over the top to look like a mod if memory serves, im sure i will be corrected if im wrong

    Bought the wrong one, impulse buy - its got a male type end and my rod takes a female end, and i've just bought a new (correct) one from midway uk. Brand new in packet and ill post for free to who ever has a .270 / .284 / 7MM and sends me a PM first. Cheers
