    do the seekers do ok with heavy use ive found them on ebay for £90 Mine have, still using them now, and they are almost as light as trainers, i havent tried the other models but id guess the heavier mountain ones would be even sturdier. my next choice would be a pair of Altbergs - when they wear down you can send them back to the factory get re-soled.

    LOWA's are great if you want to spend the money, lowa "seekers" are fully waterproof and last ages, ive had mine for 5 years now and they even survived a tour in Afghanistan. The lowa "mountain" ones are heavier and probly even sturdier. i dont rate mendels at all, we had them issued for the summer in Afghan and the stitching didnt hold very well and was placed so we all had blisters on our ankles after a few miles - not sure what model they were tho... they are out in the shead held together by superglue.

    Hey all! Would a small velcro cat collar or similar be upto keeping a locator round the ferrets neck? The lether type one i have seems fiddley and i thought a velcro one might be easier - what do you think? Any advice or other tips appreciated

    My Escort is great, cant fault it for the price. no idea about the other one tho. The Hatsan had a bad reputaton for feed faults to begin with but i think they have cleared it up with the later models, or so it seems with mine.

    yeah found that one thanks - ive already got the permission , i just want sone sort of paperwor to show , like an official lease of the shooting rights so no one else can try and pinch my ground.

    hey, i've tried the search function but cannot seem to find it! im looking for a template letter to get signed by the landowner so that i've got the shooting rights officialy. can anyone help please:) Sam

    i think the older ones kept having stoppages, but i got a new one a few months ago and its been great.
