Technically the pest species are also allowed to be culled all year around with no close season.. .. Edited to add yet again feral's can be sold privately to Falconer's aswell as ferret and dog owner's..

We are on about feral pigeon's in this topic are we not..not fooking wild protected bird's.. :blink: .. Edited to add you can sell Wood pigeon/feral pigeon/magpie/carrion crow/ rook/ and jackdaw to who the fook you like all year around if the need arises and they are all wild bird's... ...from what you are saying make's me think you are around 12yr old or you simply don't have a clue what you are on about.. :laugh:

Feral pigeon are not a protected species like song bird's etc..the same as wood pigeon's/crow's/magpies and so on the lot of them can be shot and trapped all year long..as long as you are within the law gun wise you are doing nothing wrong..

It is not illegal to sell or shoot feral pigeon's they are a vermin species and can be shot/trapped and killed all year around in the right situation's..the only reason feral pigeon proofing is used because gun's are not allowed to be used in town centre's and built up area's..

I remember when i kept pigeon's year's ago...they was this bald as a coot council worker doing some work on the garden wall..and when the pigeon's flew over one of them dropped a big lump of crap right on top of his bald patch.. ..he was not happy the misserable owld fecker..

Instead of building a new nest for them i have raised the side's with thin twig's and made it a bit wider..so it's a bit like a toddler's playpen now..

I would not mind hand feeding some Fireman but i have a habbit of killing them..that is from my younger day's with young sparrow's and blackbird's..i done ok with a couple of maggies but they are pig's and will eat anything..

The cock bird is a lutino (yellow) bird Pete.. the hen is a normal green i also have a satinette coloured hen and i can't wait to see the colour of her chick's..and i suppose they will jump the nest when older if disturbed like there wild cousin's..

As some may know my greenie hen has hatched 6 chick's and they are growing at a fast rate..will the nest be ok to hold them all till they fledge as it look's like it's ready to burst open any minute..what's the most anyone has seen in a successful clutch..
