As I'm new to fowl I'm quiet confused about the comment about triming them out seen as a bad thing....could some one explain why( I think I have an idea why)......pm if need be..cheers

No expert mate but that defo looks infected...the tooth might not be loose at the moment but I'd be worried about the infection spreading and by the looks of the pic the gum looks to be rotting away and she/he could loose several teeth....also a infection left untreated can cause serious harm.......atb and good luck mate.....

Any news mate??sorry for late reply mate....vet found a little red spot at the very bottom of his ear....she nearly missed it it was that far down lol he's now on a course of anti inflammatory till next Thursday..........also I have to wash his ears with a mix of viniger and water....she also said it could be due to teething she said " a dogs ears do funny things when teething" lol

Hi thanks for the replys men..the dog in its self is happy and playfull and will bounce around the back yard like a box of frogs....it's nose is warm and damp rather than wet and cold..no discharge is coming from nose ears or mouth.also he isn't scratching at his ears or any other part of his body just shaking his head like his ears are irratateing him......

hi uk all the pics are taken from outside the incubator mate..I read that opening the incubator can cause the other chicks inside the eggs to die to to los of heat and moisture/humidity....

Good point Try him on a raw diet: I doubt the vet will help you there, unless they are very enlightened. Most vets are anti raw feeding. I can send you the chapter on nutrition if you want, from Running Dog Maintenance. Pm me with your email address if you'd like it. cheers skycat will pm you now
