  6. i got seven sheets of ply out of a skip the other day my last box made from scraps cost me nowt a bit heavy but its a box ,we dont need to treck miles on our permision and we dont pose for mugshots as we are to busy , so i dont feel the need to start bragin about a bit of wood and glue .regardles
  7. i dont understand why folks dont build there own box, after all thats all it is a box to transport ferrets in , who cares what it looks like so long as it does the job and you can sit down on it for a brew then thats that for me,
  8. Good idea i think using weld mesh rather than chicken wires probbaly the way to go ... my hobs wrecking his cage at the moment in a bid to escape ... i havent had a hob like this for a long time ... myne looks like he has got two grapefruits nailed to his back end,
  9. maybe we should have a pined topic at the top for newbies on suitable hutches and materials , with a big importatnt read this before you go any further, and if they try to post without reading all the basics of ferret keeping they should be blocked from posting on the forum. not dising you chris just a thought
  10. gutted for you chris first rule of ferret keeping is a ferret proof hutch, a hob on his own with no jills will spend most of the day trying to get out and as for chicken wire , its no good a ferret hutch has to be in my opinion solid home made, pets at home shat is well shat, you need solid wood and solid galvinised garden mesh at least , you can buy it in sheets in wickes, not that expensive,i feel sorry for you
  11. Pointless breeding then init if you only need that percentage what if you cull all the guduns an keep the shite ,
