  1. Mr Canning I congratulate your effort of teaching the world what Guy Shorrock is really like. There doesn't seem to be something ticking right here. I wonder why the Police are protecting Shorrock. He's a wierd prat who spouts a crock of shite.
  2. You dog is clearly ill but you THINK you will have to take him to the vets! Nobody is being out of order with you Leanne, for a start you didn't even ask a question, you made a STATEMENT saying how ill your dog is and you think you will take him to the vets, can you not see why people are blunt with you, like i said, what are you going to do.......wait until paddy drops dead before you think it warrants seeing an expert or continue coming on here stating facts about how ill your dog is?? if you must no my dad said he new a vet from the stabels and is picking paddy up i
  3. Once a line of cage traps have been placed, they only need rebaiting. I personally prefer them to snaring rabbits. Alot of farms, estates and the railways/contracters use cage traps for trapping rabbits. How can you explain that Micky?
  4. How long do you think it will take with cage traps?most of your rabbits will die of old age before they jump into one of them I strongly disagree. They're quick and easy. Snares are too much messing around. Then you no nothing about snaring ,and less about cage trapping. Again, I don't agree. True, you catch alot snaring. One hundred cage traps are easier then one hundred snares. Yes, you may catch more in snares but it's a pain tensioning them. If you have time to spare then snaring is the way forward for rabbits, but if you're Keepering it's not worth snaring rabbits because you hav
  5. If you calculated the amount of hours a Keeper works to the wages you will find out most are on less then the minimum wage. But also you have to take into account that you normally have a house that's paid for you (you do not get to keep it!), a motor, diesel etc. But if you're looking at Keepering or rearing Game for a career you have to realise that you do it because you love doing it, not because of the money. Good luck.

  7. I strongly agree with you there. There are alot of people on here who do not think before they post. With an open forum of this size you have to expect there to be idiots around. I should imagine it's very hard to police a website of this size.
  8. I've been asked to control the rabbits on a local farm and it has alot of very obviouse runs on too. It will take too long to snare the bit of land I've been asked to. I think a couple of lines of rabbit cages are needed.
  9. onley seen sparrow & odd buzzard why dont they eat all the bird when i have found hawked pigon they been pulled to bits sparrow then mate they brake the neck with there beck but it will only eat it if it fills safe and they will eat the brest or head not all of it but a buzz will but it will not kill it as itis to quick Hes right mate sparrow hawk if its plucking the head off and leaving the rest last season my uncle had a load of pheasant poults killed off by the basterds theres only one way to sort them mate And that's looking after the game birds properly. The best way
  10. I appologise if you have miss-read what I have wrote and now believe that I am asking for a brawl, but you're in no place to speak. You need to grow up. I really can't believe that you are that uneducated all you want is a brawl. You live in a dream too lad.
  11. It's CALLED HAVING AN AARSE HOLE YOU GUTLESS PIECE OF DOG SSHITE I think you'll find its called "BEING AN ASSHOLE". Hard men on the keyboard. Soft menboys in the head! Swampy sensiblening LISTEN HERE SPUNKY    GO AND WANK A BROWN COCK YOU FOOL :drag: :drag: :drag: Oh dear. I really do pitty you. It makes me feel shamed to be called a 'Hunter' with idiots like you in our community! Are you that immature you have to speak how a 10 year old would because you feel you're being ridiculed because of your rediculous bold comment?
  12. Feck me worked over by Denis the menace its good to have a catapult in your pocket when out with the dogs or enny wear becouse you never know you might see a pigeon or squrriel in the tree i dont leave the house with out it I haven't been on this website for long but it doesn't take long to get an interpretation of the majority of the members on here. Some people on here are brain dead. If a man pointed a gun at your head you would fill your underwear. Don't give me any of this bullshit that you would beat him up, because it's bollocks. Do any of you idiots seriously think that a bloke
  13. Sometimes, reading some of the comments on this website makes you just want to hit your head against a pissing brick wall. If a man has a gun you're not going to go over to him and kick the shit out of him, are you?
  14. Every subject at secondry school has a reasonable amount of coursework along with the practical. Everything at GCSE level has alot of paperwork with it, blame the Government for setting the sylabus.
  15. People on here have more front then pissing Brighton. They're decent wellies, top noch shooting wear. If you don't want them, don't post!
  16. You dont run a shoot do you Snorker? If he is lucky he should expect to shoot 50% of his birds and at that he will still be doing good. Only small shoots that are surrounded with large shoots would get antwhere near the stats' you are quoting. NO DONT RUN ANY SHOOTS LABTASTC, BUT BEEN AMONG SYNDICATES SINCE I COULD CARRY A GUN. MY STATS ARE GOING OFF WHAT I WAS MENTORED. AND THAT WERE ON ONE OF THE FINEST SHOOTIN ESTATES IN ENGLAND, AS I SAID WE EXPECTED TO LOOSE 20%, AND ALWAYS WORKED FROM THAT. I ONLY NO WHAT I NO , AND LIKEWISE WI YERSEL. Load of bollocks. I've never known o

If the candidate (your son) has any sort of mental illness the chances are that the certificate will not be granted. Especially if the candidate has had Depression. I'm not implying that your son is unsafe, but in the eyes of the law he may well be unsafe with his own shotgun. It's a very unfortunate thing to happen but I don't think there's much that can be done, especially if your local FAO has already turned down the application.
  18. Some allotments do not allow you to snare, so check first. You may get a few idiots who pull your snares up too. Bear in mind that if someone sees a bunny that has been snared by the chest, they will not be happy. Try on here to see if anyone will show you how to snare. Snaring is a hard sport to perfect, but when you do perfect it, it's very effective!
  19. The best way to control it is by using an anti pecking device. It's a little bit of plastic that stops them from closing their beak properly.
  20. It's dependant on the breed of the pheasant but an average sort of price is £2.50. But you can buy day old poults and 6 week old poults.
  21. I'll vouch for the Seeland Beaters jackets, they're brilliant and well worth the smalll amount of cash this guy is wanting.
  22. We don't hand feed due to having such a wild breed. We have the Blue Back pheasants and they're wild as anything.
  23. Have you found an employer to take you on for your apprenticeship? It's vertually pointless in going to Moulton college for just the GameKeeping course. They do not allow shooting of any type of pests on the estate, only trapping. Also, they only rear 100-200 pheasants a year. If you're seriouse about Game Keeping then try applying for Sparsholt college in Hampshire. In the world of Game Keeping, employers prefer people to have alot of hands-on experience and to have been to a well known college for GameKeeping. Good luck.
  24. I've just ordered all of my new Keepering clothes today so I can't afford anymore yet.
