  1. i not going to side with anyone about this.. but giving advice fine... having the crack fine...but thers alot of people just waiting to pounce before they no the facts ..ive done a little bit over the years with lurchers ...ive had them out at ten months old ..even younger if i thought the dog was ready for a few runs..just because you have took your pup out and caught a few bunnies dosent mean you have lamped your dog into the ground and fecked it ... they can run just as hard when playing ...if you give your dog a few slips a couple of times aweek its not going to do it any harm at all ...th

  18. its tricky round where i live to theres alot of walls hedges tuft grass ditches the lot really i live in lancashire in the penines..i personaly think the obstcials cause the hare to make mistakes ..where as the fen i.e. or the big fields like thirsk and southport they dont make mistakes ie harder to catch...jmo....most hares in small fields are caught near a fence or wall or ditch ...
  19. whippets looking strong frank ..looks a solid build i think personaly theres a few inches to go yet ..and it looks settled ...dont know if you had to wait a long time for that pic laying down or its just settle in well to the game...i want to know how he does next year on them larger rabbits ..iam sure you will keep us informed... dont no that much about whippets really but a few lads i know reackons they stop growing around 7 or 8 months ...i think you said he was around 18 1/2 " now another 2 or three " would be nice...

  21. never coarsed a red hare or irish hare but iam led to belive the brown hare is a much more athletic and harder to catch......
  22. i think it all depends on the dog ...some mature earlier than othersmy dog of around 7 months.. he caught his first lamped rabbit around seven and a half months ..he retrived his fist daytime hare around 9 1/2 months which was around early october time ......and tracked his first deer around 10 1/2 months old ...they wont learn nothing just going for walks and sitting in the kennel....dont get me wrong basic training and commands come first ...and you dont run you pup into the ground just a few slips then collar him up ....2 or three times a week..take your pick of which rabbit you let him ru
