  1. it was about you saying you wont get a gamer dog than a staffy the stafford as a breed is f****d now compared to the dogs of old yes you will get the odd few that will work but very few and far between i see what your saying and agree that compared to the old dog the ones these day are horse shite , but thats the same for all breeds ( patterdale aside but even they are now going down hill) the reason i argue is that i have a staff and have had many so has my dad , so it just get my back up when people who have no experiance with them assume they know better and just because they are

  3. having goon in your name suits you well it seems to me that nobody is allowed to have opnion , with out some other "terrierman" jumping in there and talking like he knows this and that and everything is totall bullshit , it has been proven that staffs can do the job with pics , so why argue ?? whats the point . the goon remark ? bit cheap

  5. But if you wanted a terrier for earthwork ie to be dug to, then you wouldnt consider a staff. I know a few places where a beagle would get to ground let alone a staff. true , but the bloke said he whats a staff to go to ground and im just stateing that they can do so , and its also true that there are better suted dogs for earth work but you wont find a gamer dog that a well bred staff, the world would be a shite place if everone way the same ...
  6. dont buy a gillie suit 1) youll look like a dick and 2) imo if you need a gillie suit to shoot then you should not be shooting , i would advice getting some half shell decoys , setting in a horse shoue on a flight line they sould land if your formation is good the pick them off , ither that or just buy a shotgun. good luck mate
  7. my point is , if you want a terrier why not a staff??? and the comment about real dogs ? you cant get more real than a staff
  8. last night took 12 hours 8ft so not huggeeee , but i was challangeing numerous amount of feckin rocks , clay soil , and the dogs work the best i have ever seen them do so. but for me it was the company that made it memrable , you cant beat going digging with your best mate and mentor not to sound like a SAP , but going out on your own isnt the same ...
  9. there you go then , take your cat rabbiting :11:
  10. in all seriousness i find it hard to belive that it wont even chase a rabbit or rat simpley because im yet to see a dog that doesnt . try to get a fox tail , or shoot a squizz and tie a piece of rope to its tail , then run around a field like buggery thats how i got my "staffs" gameness up , dont think that youll be digging with it because it aint gunna happen , rabbit and ratting i think would be ok for it atb
  11. to me it sounds ludicrous that i can legally go out ratting and rabbiting ,but not kill a squizz with a dog , whats the difference ? personally i havent heard its illegal , so in my head its legal
