  2. oh bugger it when i go pick my new gun up friday im picking up a range finder too. which do you use moley???

  4. few shots of some recent victims last one of my plummer terrier eli retrieving a shot squirrel.
  5. this is a pic of the rifle just after i got it. the barrel was rusted badly, and had a few nicks the rust has been rubbed down on this pick. the stock was also in bad shape. nicks and dinks in it. it had been used as a work horse, and put back in the gun bag wet, hence the rust. but ive since got a mate to bead blast the barrel, and reblue it. then he stripped off the stock and refinished it, and put the wrap on the cylinder and silencer, to bring it back to life a bit. it was a right old dog when i bought it, but im glad i did .
  6. more than likely friday night stealthy. lol will say i will most probs put 250 pellets through her on friday night. lol then i will deffo be out with her to try and christen it. im thinking about a bi-pod for it now. the other one will be too big for it. but i struggle getting down prone, because of an old back injury. i can get prone but cant wait in that position for long periods of time. so most of my shots off the bipod are sitting shots. so true moley. hope i dont regret getting shut. im gonna go for a kt in .177 at xmas, then i will have one in each cal. her indoors wont be best pl
  7. my mate has a bi pod on his s410 carbine. its a 9-13, but not a harris. the action is smoother than my harris, and it doesnt make as much noise, as mine either.
  8. cheers pal. its going on the weekend, last time out for it. will miss it, but hopefully the new one will be a worthy replacement.
  9. well as its going on friday i thought id take it out 1 last time. so off i went for an hour this evening, in search of a squirrel or 2. i got to my permission, and met the new house keeper for the first time. after a brief chat, i made my way slowly across the lawn, to the little wood. as i entered, i could see the floor is now carpeted with ground covering ivy. this hides all the dry crunchy leaves and twigs. it was impossible trying to sneak through the wood, so i decided to walk straight to a nice shady tree and sit and wait. after about 20 mins, i was rewarded with the scraping of claws on
  10. cheers probuk and moley. will have a look at the cpu. along with the superfield, and the accupel and the fx that si recomended will also have a look at that bag moley.

  13. Well il be off out with the old 100 t for the last time before Friday, hopefully get a squirrel or 2. Obviously a lot harder this time of year, with the foliage and stuff. But I got one last week with a cracking shot. I walked through the little mixed wood on my permission, after being sat around in my little hide for an hour, and found a load of scrapings in the leaf litter, where the buggers had been rooting about. So I decided to sit it out for a while and see what turned up. I got under a little scotch pine sapling, just to use the uppermost branches to break up my outline from any prying
  14. Cheers stealthy. I don't need telling twice to do a bit of plinking. It's worked out nicely as I'm off work for a week after this week. Will Probably have put 1000 through it in the first week. Will have to fill both my cylinders up I think. In preparation for it's arrival. Lol

  20. cheers si mate. ive gone for a brand new one stealthy. how do they fair out of the box?? how many pellets to lead in? what pellets did you find best si??? i also went for . 22 cal. i know a lot of people prefer 177, but i still feel more confident with the 22 for live quarry. dont ask me why, but i think confidence is a big part of the equation. cheers guys
  21. good one mole. looking forward to the pics later. which rifle did you get them with???
  22. well ive finally bit the bullet, and gone and bought a new hw 100 ks. i pick it up on friday. i have had to trade in my 100 t, and will be sad to see it go. i was goin to opt for the kt, but tried the ks and it just shouldered perfectly. i hope it performs as good as the old one, but i wont miss the extra weight the old rifle had. does anyone own 1 of these? and how do you rate it?? cheers in advance for any replies.
  23. ok mole. i was thinking of throwing a few quid at it, but dont think il bother mate.
