    its HARDWORK keeping a old dog fit, the last thing you need his hot summer,s,, were you can not take them out has much you can not break routine they dont bounce back,,,,snipe still gets 4 mile 4 times a week behind the car, and runs it no problem,not to mention good knows how many walks in between,,, but the mind,the sight and deathness. his a diffrent thing,, that out of my hands,,,,,,,,,thanks for comments,,,,,,,,

    SNIPE,S showing his age now hes comeing up to 13 in a handfull of month,s Anyway i, went to my farm over the weekend, with me mate to do a bit of flushing,And stalking snipes mind his all over the place its like haveing a pup again, old age we can not escape it,i have to keep a eye on him all the time, he wud soon get lost,iff he was to go to far on a flush,Having said all this the old lad still never let me down, He tracked 1 what my mate shot, hes as keen now as ever,,but the minds getting old,,The back side of the farm has never bin good for munty,s so i asked the farmer iff i good put some

    WHILST WE ON ABOUT,,bringing things on top,,most the lads i know with day time hare dogs have to go out in group, they dont no what it his, to go out on there own, and share the day with the dog,,,3/4 chaps walking a feild,, brings the sport on top, a lamp you cud be shooting,,ETC,,

    THIS HIS THE PIC OF THE DAY WITH ERN theres 15 0n the pic, 2 was from 2 days before on some diffrent ground,,,, they was [all] shot but they was flushed.. the ground were i did go was[ very green], them typ of hares what just turn and turn,,, NOT THESE ONE,S that go in big stait line,s,,there the hard one,s...he,s not cut out for them,,,i was out from 8,45,in the morn,,and his last flush,, was about 5 oclock,,, this was not a planned day what so ever,, i will not go into it to much,, i at to get ern to a ramdon house,were i knocked the door and asked them for a drink and choc bis, for him,

    its not just that place i have to keep happy, some weeks in winter, i do around 900 mile plus on 3 diffrent place around the map,, i mainly on me own,,

    went back to some ground , were i showed me face the other week, he,s letting shooting chaps on,to get on top of the bunnys,i got 21 with ern, just to keep him ticking over,my mate came down with me,hes got all these big guns, not my cup of tea but each to there own, the farmer his easy going and we allways give him a good drink for the sport, he shot a nice munty buck, and was well chuffed,, ,

    Add a little walk round this morning, with ern , put me rod in me pocket and add a little spin on me local pond,The sun was well up and great to be out, no sign of fish jumping but they was biteing ok, ern finds this game good crack cools him down and get s his jaws round some.think, got 4 nice fish for the table, Happy day,s, the start of many,,,,

    pound for pound,, i think the the munty can be 1 deer what will not lie down and take it,,,iff it was the size of a fallow the dog would have its hands full, this dog has bin done before, off them, dependind were they grab them, and how buck feels on the day, things can soon go wrong,,, they look like some,think out of a horror film,,
