  1. Funny, everyone seems to want bitches these days with all the £££ floating about! Id prefer a nice solid dog!
  2. Id be taking another dog and letting her watch that dog work and get a result give her a bit rag, and then look around for another dig that day or soon after. Only you can choose what too do if you breed from her or not your the only one thats seen her working over the years befor this! I wouldnt be asking people on here some, people have standards that are different from others, some none at all! If you want a pup from her breed her and keep your pup and do the deeds and bucket the rest! If she wont work and you dont want to breed her keep her as a pet yourself,or do the deeds yourself no
  3. haha, im going to have to learn how to decode all these messages on thl, the anti's and police will have a right old challenge trying to understand what all these words mean and what the hell ur all talking about....... , e.g.............."toothed", "fast", i dont get half of the threads on this site any more lol think il give it a go, wentt "light bulbing"" other night, managed to put 7 "fast, white tail thimper feet", 2 "red toothed bushy tails", and even dropped on a "black & white hard b*****d"....................all managed to fit in the "asda" bag Was thinking the sa
  4. Its going to be a cracking weekend, ive got the feeling!

  5. Do you know what ditto means? Where im from it mustn't mean the same as it does round your area's. Its like the charver and chav, craic and crack! enlighten me? It means "The same as above" Cheers mate, round here also used to insult people,i never even knew the word was in the dictionary until now but ive done my home work!Word History: Ditto, which at first glance seems a handy and insignificant sort of word, actually has a Roman past, for it comes from dictus, "having been said," the past participle of the verb dcere, "to say." In Italian dcere became dire and di

  9. a good mate of mine and a member on here has a half cross bull grey, this dog is used for big game, round holes etc if you get my drift! His prey drive is emmense, lamping last season and after a long night and not much big stuff around and my bitch picking up all the bunnys, i persuaded him to run just one rabbit which of course he wasn't bred for and had never ran! I persuaded him to run one bunny and f**k me ive never seen a dog put so much effort and determination into a bunny, obviously i had seen him working bigger game and hes all the same but for the first bunny he was able to run. He
  10. Not the best for me,because of work commitments and dark nights comming fast.Even when i do get a chance the river conditions aren't perfect! Ive had 21 salmon 13 sea trout to date usually average + on river tyne!
  11. late nights and early morning for work, catching up on me im f****d!

    1. Hob&Jill

      Hob&Jill

well dont come on here anymore.....

  13. What you said isnt entirely true, sometimes charlie has better chance with two dogs as the lurchers can put each other off on the turning, bumping each other etc! Im not going to bullshit you ive done it on many occasions, not because the dogs need to be doubled because it may be the only run they would get tonight so 1st run always two dogs after that its single, baring in mind both dogs are more than capable single handed and are 4-5yrs! Sometimes with two single handed dogs its harder doubled!
  14. nice looking dogs, but ass working dog overrated i don't see any scares on their faces. But good guard dogs though Some poeple dont need to have scared up dogs for them to be good dogs, id much prefer a dog with little or no scars, i dont need to paraid round fairs and streets with smashed up dogs too look hard or make poeple think ive good dogs! I know of many dogs with very few scars most come from younger years of learning the game and quarry! some dogs just do there job fast and dont get bit often they are the better dogs imo.
  15. It is a good thread, people have different experiences of running plough as ive said above im not willing to take a chance, when i know the following week it could have been rolled or if i walk another 100yds theres more fields grass or stubble or rolled full of game! Theres enough stuff where i am to pick and choose! Id rather have my dog hunting day time through woods plantations flat out than plough.End of the day some dogs adapt to plough some dont and some dont get a chance! Everyones different and have different land and less amount of game than others so this is just my opinion! But to s
  16. Are we talking plough as in rolled shown in picture or plough in other picture! untitle.bmp untitled.bmp
  17. Theres not a chance on this planet i would run my dog on plough for a poxy rabbit or two,ive seen a heard of many dogs, breaking necks legs etc same goes for oil seed rape stuble, even if it wasnt the worst outcome the dog could still pick up some bad injury's a be lame for weeks/months through the season meaning that poxy rabbit cost you a season of working your dog and maybe a vet bill! If its for charlie go to nearest field thats suitable and bring him to you! Each to there own i suppose but its a no from me unless its been ploughed then raked or rolled yes! Otherwise no!
  18. lamping and work dont go together too well!

  19. Well done mate went for a quick hour myself first night out, unfit dog was looking for red so left alot of bunny runs, red avaided us but i then had 3/3 of the bunnys!
  20. Cheers for advice apreciate it! I thought i wouldnt mention this because i was unsure if correct but as it hasnt be mentioned here goes! I was told by a mate that if you dont get the dog newted or get her pregnat this cant persist and go on and on, an its not good for the dog! How true this is im not sure, but i dont want to do either so an alternative is need if this it true! edited to say; mite cheer her up,mates just phoned so out of red pratrol!
  21. Firstly ive never had this happen to me, and dont know many that have! Ive done a bit reading etc on it but still looking for some advice! Or what you did or know of people doing to help get the dog back on straight and narrow! My bitch is houling at night scratting her bed, looking depressed, off food, enlarged tiits, producing milk, and generally not herself! Ive been told to keep eye on her for swelling round niples, biting and scrating them, feed little, and keep water to a low as it helps produce the milk! Is there any signs i should be aware of for immediate vet treatment? Would
  22. Theres that many too choose from, im out but good to read all the bitches bitching!

  24. Not being funny Genuine but your sub floor is a bigger area, so your calculations are way out. Around 3ft to a metre right, 39ft is around 15 metres be safe on that,by 14ft around 5 metres! My floor wasn't bigger! Anyway pm wagon driver , he will know the pro's and con's of there trade and your prices! It took four of us an hour and half to take 6 cubes to do the floor and that was 11 metres by the 4.8 and we had about 4 barrows spare at the end! Your sub floor was 11.3m x 4.8m which gives you an area of 54.24 m2 Valentinos floor is 39ft x 13ft which converts to 11.8m x 3
