thye may not be fast enough on winter wheat etc but can hunt a wood out an push game out, for a faster dog plus at night when roe hit cover they can thrash in the woods better than saluk crosses and maybe good gaurd dogs , take the weather dont, lose condition if your out nightly, they have there uses mate ,big strong dogs etc

theres not an answer to that question as all dogs mature diffrent, i had alittle collie cross luke he fired into foxes no entering etc first fox single handed lana the pup out of him was the same , but tyne my saluk cross diffrent dog he took in his second season and was never or isnt a great fox dog , the tor of dartmoor saluks they fired in at 14 months all dogs are diffrent

when i was seroius into dog trainig comps etc i would have started heel work as a young pup, steady etc but if shees pulling at six moons heel her with a choker not to rough but enough to know she,s getting told a command , once you have her heelng with lead then heel her infront of live stock game as you get her confidece ,good heel work takes time , i dont bother with my saluk cross and greyhound whippet but they are out nightly or most nights they no whos got the lamp etc but my collie line are little fechers and need to no whose boss sometimes all the best

frank ive whippet greyhound out of boy blue and a good distance bitch shes made 23 to24 and has took lots of hare rabbit several roe and two foxes and shall be agood brood bitch for me great little dogs i only run her on good ground if possible as shees a gem for turning fast lamped game of the wood sides localy, i rran her onthe stubbles this season she never knocked up but has had a lot of running so quite wise for her young age etc

dont lower yourself looking for something for nowt i do live in scotand and i dohunt a lot ,ive got a young bitch she maybe not suit me but maybe suit you ,but not for nowt ,must be atrade or something shees well bred and a fare bitch ,we shall see i have to give her season yet ive got two dogs in there prime so pup doesnt get the same chance shees caught a few hares rabbits and been on bigger qaurry with other dog,but cant make my mind up with her 1 bred her and no her blood lines so there you go

get your self up in scotland ive got an 8 metre cygnus fast worker itll cost you 15 quid for deisel weel go for lobster cod ,ling , bass, pollack , im only 30 miles from berwick upon tweed there plenty cheap bed and breakfasts , youlll not forget a good day out with the rod pots and maybe nets alll the best

t the rabbit and hare, i got last night ,i filleted the back end of both and the hauches marinated them with bacon and port abit garlic 1 oxo ,leeks a bit cranberrie jelly then i,ll cook it for a few hours slowly then put some dumplings in a gid hearty meal fit for a king ,i cant understand all these people who hunt and never eat what they catch, strange ,met people who leave the catch in the feild and im not taling about were it is to hot to take game home ,sacralidge

maybe jane rice is better but ive not had aproblem with it so far they get rice ,and brown bread , any way ive got dogs whoran no matter what thye got ,its all about personal touch when they are out 3 to 4 nights a week then the extra feeding plays a part in it all the best

i feed the dogs what i catch plus veg brown bread , pasta ,sometimes dry food , all depends what on offer when i build new kennels this year ill get a few chest freezers then itll be back to meat fish and dry food ihave an old bioler a gas ring i half biol and mixit all together ,they like it and as im out its good for them to get a warm meal after a hard nights hunting etc all the best feed them well and treat them like heroes ,i still give them rabbit hares on the bone if ive got plenty my self to eat oor for customers

my freind has aborder dog eight moons old nice dog we shall try him this cubbing smart dog with a great jacket, first working border i saw was away back 79 he had no ears left , minced with fox and cats all the best
