    Not having a go mate, but if you have had five Hancock dogs and only one made the grade; why did you keep getting them ? Do you think that maybe there might just be a good'un in there somewhere? Cheers. Maybe I could've put it differently charti,all the Hancock dogs I owned were pre-ban when i say they were average I mean average on all quarry though apart from the one all were very decent rabbiting dogs.Why did I go back to hancocks to get more,for one you knew you what you were going to get and back in the day when we didn't have the luxury of the internet if you wanted a nice typey

    I've had a few Hancock dogs over the last 20 odd years,5 in total.3 were average,1 was a complete waste of time and 1 was exceptional on all pre-ban quarry.The bitch i run at the moment is from a hancock x hancock and i'm very happy with her,would i go to hancock for another "No".imo theres some exceptional collie x grey's out there and you've a much better chance of getting a worker from a worker x worker.Just like to add its not a done deal when you get a pup out of workers you still need to put the work into any dog........John

    I've always fed adult ferrets liver and kidney though not every day,I just found it strange when i was told that it shouldn't be fed to the kits.My local butcher minces it up for me so its easy for the kits to eat,I would give them rabbit but with the fly's you can't throw in a whole rabbit like in winter/autumn.Thanks for the replies...........John

    I've always fed my ferrets liver,kidneys and hearts from the butchers when I've no rabbit to give them.A fella I know who's been into ferreting longer than I can remember told me that liver and kidney has a very high salt content and is not recommended for kits......is this true and if so what would anybody recommend...John

    Thanks for the comments colours mean nothing to me i'm more interested in working ability but when you need to get rid of them people always ask what colours have you got!.....John

    I'd say they were grey too Hannah But I've been told silver,grey and polecat.....I'm old skool so I've only ever had albino's!These fancy colours bamboozle me You can have as many as you want Hannah :kiss:
