    Why does it have to be December to February???? When the season starts in September. OH DEAR !!! Oh dear what answer the question??? Because if they where all that soft how do they make it to dec feb then???? All you hear on here form coursing men it has to be dec feb hare but when you catch few at end feb there soft because there going into breeding .What l can take from it is you coursing men only hunt 2 half months a year

    Best thing l can tell you is take your time the hunting season does not start till 5 months time so dont rush in and buy the 1st one that comes along. Make sure you get dog that suits you and you suit the dog. As already said try get someone bring you out and look up on here the different breeds for lamping and ferreting. If was me l would look down collie x or beddy x line but as l said there is no rush. The dog be fine while your away just have get up bit earlier bring him or her walk before you head off for the day and the same when you get back. But make sure you have your home work d

    A lot people starting use the cross for coursing few friends off mine have them fast and can stay on and on. In the big green fields there hard to beat but seemed in the winter months they feel the cold a lot.

    I know there is a difference in the show whippet till the working one but is there difference in the working one to a coursing or a laguna one????

Were you ferreting No you need about 6 off yea and 1000s nets lol need about 6 ferrets and 5 long nets going hit it and put them up on the hill.That is all am doing when we go ferreting this year letting go all over the mountain gives you and dog bit sport when the season is over,Was over the day 5 hours dogs f****d swimming them up in big pool up there seen few hares as well.

    We should all have we comp between us with pups this year for laugh.White dog looking will get it fit and kill loads this year unless mine is off the lead E Tommy get them up swimming great so it is.

    That is my point you have lost 2 pups and one is blind in one eye for hitting a ditch after a rabbit.Its a rabbit there is going be plenty more in the next field there is no need for dog to kill its self just for rabbit. There is a difference in a dog that knows when to put the foot down but under control and an out an out loon that wont last 2 full seasons. All my dogs ditch during the day after rabbit hare and fox though stuff a dog should not get though but there is big diffence in ditching during the day then at night.
