    Dan getting back into the coursing so was going for pure saulki but now thinking off 3/4 breed out off good stock

    Speedie that very good answer the pup wont see a hare till the start off the season if ones gets up over mountain when out for walk there nothing l can do about that. A lot people hold there coursing pups back till about 17 18 months what age you give young pup its 1st hare

Already there is to much breeds in that mix so when l breed her l am thinking off putting her to a pure to thin the mix out A pure what though? She only turning 2 this season so wont be until she about 4 or so but thinking a pure saluki or a good staying dog think that is the only think she is missing but only time will tell she prop wont be good enough to

    I agree with what your saying my older pup will not be out hunting till start off season but be bringing my older bitch 6 1/2 to bring the pup on she has lost lots off her pace but she great bitch for bringing on pups.

    Truth be told l be hunting my pup thought the summer cant afford going into the season with a 15 16 month old pup that does not have a clue.Just wondering if other people have pups off the same age and are they going hunt them or hold them back till the season

    ill let you know im keeping 1 of them and if he turns out like his dad he will be spot on the temprements of both sier and dam are fantastic his dad has done well in show ring and raceing and is a realy good working dog and all this wasnt planed it was an accident Best luck with the litter l would get the sires balls chopped off so there be no more litters

    There is a lot off fighting on here about summer hunting.Most off the coursing lads and fox lads would not dare go out this time off the year but there is lots off people on here that hunt rabbits all year round. What l was wondering what happenings if you have pup like myself at 10 months old do you just walk it and keep it fit until the season which is 5 months away or do you hunt with the pup though the summer so it knows what it is doing before the season starts. 5 months not doing nothing with a pup is a lot off time wasted on the pup and your self so just wondering what people think

    I would always go lucher to lucher when breeding a bitch of mine to get a pup but sooner or later your going have put a pure to your line

    No one saying the fen hare is special but must have something if the best dogs in the country are getting tested on it any how that not what am saying. I say it again do you think that a dog that just runs the big fields off England can go up to Scotland and catch hares with wall, gates ,ditches, fences etc etc in its way. a fen dog would be shit up in scotland the hare would be a way and gone why the fen dog thinking of it pre ban Exactly mate. Stamina isn't the first quality you need up here. If a dog can't go up the gears quick, forget it. so your both saying a a dog

    Seen dvd off a lot lads on big estate up scotland loads white hares killed that much there was wee 4x4 going about picking them up.
