    i have heard good and bad points but i think it would suit were i hunt small type fields were the dog needs to get at them pretty quick.hope the saluki will give a bit of staying power. you dont want one too much grey try stay on the saluki side off things

    Take every thing on here with a bit off salt there are a lot off useful people people on here that give you tips and that or there may be someone from liverpool can take you out and learn you for next season. Go on you tube watch few lamping clips on rabbits and then get few books on lamping just get you started. My tip for you is not till rush everything takes time so dont worry if your dog does not catch anything 1st few time out. You get lots lamps on here for sale or on gum tree or e bay any how best luck with the wee dog and welcome to THL :thumbs:

    now thats an awful statement for a coursing man to make i take it [bANNED TEXT] from belfast :sick: One not coursing man am a hunting man l don't just go after the one thing weekend week out not my thing. Its not just in Ireland this happens its all over the uk just go on to you tube and have look how many people are running in the summer and most time its not even with pups. It happens no point saying it does not because it does and on the lamp and in the snow hares hunted fair or not for some people its just about the kill and nothing more simple. Not ever one gives the hare that law or

( farm fields ) there`s a hat full of lads that will race you next january, don`t miss the oppotunity to take them on Is the fens not farm fields???? now its fields you run a hare on tills you if you have good dog or not come off it.

    that no excuse and most people let them them bred its belfast men who slaughter them.Have been hunting in england all summer and killing hares in 2 of snow this winter.Not getting at you but the boys who hunt like this are on here like to here there views as they are the men with big money dogs. Belfast men like its most coursing ppl that do and if you you don't your only keeping your self going if you don't go out try get pup few easy ones. You are not getting as us everything you just said there was pointed towards us wise up.

    Most people hunt the hare in the summer its with pups 10 - 11 months old to get them few easy kills and its not there spots they go to but hot spots where there is loads hares but you not aloud on them.

    Hares, foxes,deer, all have or had a season where you where aloud to hunt them but rabbits and rats don't you cant hunt them all year round. I have few lamping spots and at this time year don't go near just leave them next year but this time off year hunt spots am or no one else is aloud on. Have 9 month old pup what are you to do just leave it out the back till September that 6 months old doing not by that time its 15 months and as not seen a thing come off it. In my eyes summer time is time for pups and bringing them on for the next season.

    looks very racy my mates dogs racy but its like a tank a big lump off a dog,and it does go flat out every run just as one gear but just dies after 8-10 runs it not like its getting slip after slip as we take turns.Told him think he needs weight off it but that is just the way the dog is built will try get up picture sometime

    7 months? As above. 7 months it's still a VERY young pup. Why are people in so much of a fecking rush to start pups off? Give em time, more so with a lot of the bigger/greyhoundy types As l said not my pup and not the way l bring my own up but everyone till there own so less pup and more about 1/4 bull 3/4 greys pls

    7 months? Only pup out watching and had two runs off rabbits in the bed then put back on the lead and when we got to next farm it didn't get out van.Not my pup everyone brings there pups up different ways.

    We where out at the end season doing we bit off lamping l had my old bitch and my mate had his 1/4 bull AND A 7 months old pup not many rabbits about the land takes about hour or so to walk .We must have had 8 -10 slips each with the pup getting few runs on couple in the bed. Coming into the last field there was rabbit right in the middle there is no fence into the next field and the dog chase into the 1st field going into the second the rabbit pulled away and the dog was walking after it wrecked. Surely it should more then that in the tank,the dog was not pulling up after the rabbit it was

    Just wondering what the stamina is like with your 1/4 bull 3/4 greys????? Why am asking is my mate has one one fastest dogs l have seen in a while but after about 8 runs on bunnies its wreaked. Seen this dog on lamp on hare and its 4 legs just give way from underneath it the run was not even a min. The dog not breed for bunnies or hares but for the foxes and he as killed few out with terriers but l can see the big dog come a crop not because he does not have it but if he gets a hard run on the lamp next year will he have the energy to finish the job or take bad eating because he wrecked .
