Nobody has ever consistantly produced the "perfect " diggin dog ,any line needs sounders mixers as well as hard uns to continue that line over a long period of time ,it how you but the two together that matters .If that means you have to add blood from outside that line from Wheaton ect so be it as long as the blood you use is tried and tested and comes from an established line itself .Buck,bray ,gould,nuttall ect all did, have, would, will use game dogs from time to time in there lines i rest my case .

Your right there fella ,it doesnt take a good dog to bolt a fox from a drain ,if the drain is full of ice cold water ,mud and silt you might find in some cases it would take more than a good dog to do the job ,jmho.

My mates a grave digger he has nice deep digs most days of the week ,FFS surely it more important to hear about dogs that have been to ground for long periods of time and when reached they were still working there quarry and that quarry was accounted for .Just because a dig is deep it doesnt mean that the dog been dug is any better than any other.JMHO

I agree that most dogs of today aint a patch on yesteryear due to modern technology and the ££££££££££££££,same applies to the terriermen .

Everyones idea of a 100 0/0 terrier will be different,but some things never change.You are better to try and get a pup of lads that keep things tight and breed for themselves than someone that sells for money ,that way you stand a better chance of getting a genuine worker even at that you need to see sire and dam working more than once preferably in a testing place .

WHAT WAS GREAT ABOUT THAT ? when your that age and were i come from it was the bollocks mate didnt get that much footage in those days NO respect for quarry ,Fuxking greed for the ££££££££££,is the very reason that ,that documentry got made .And as has been said but the heat on genuine lads ,at the end of the day hes another puppy peddlar.

I agree every terrierman should collar up his dog ,but should also be able to find his dog without the aid of one as accidents and failure do happen .

so if your dog died to ground because you couldnt locate it, and you got the chance of getting it back for 350 quid im sure you would take it, and as that is a impossibility id say that the price of the B&F is more than worth it Any man or woman that enters a dog to ground should be able to locate there dog locator or not ,very recently a friend of mine had to do just that as the collar had been chewed to bits and not working what difference did the range of the locator or price of the locator matter then ?.Thats the problem with modern tecknology it takes the craft out of Terrier wo
