    just get one of them heavier ceramic bowls put it in a corner and nail some batten around it the same height as the dish this worked for me

    the way i have shot rats before is a couple of tins of sardines anything like that make a couple of holes in the top and stake it firmly to the ground make sure the rats cant pick any food to take back to the nest,holes only big enough to let scent and oil out and when they start licking the tin pick them off,have fun

    i use the fence posts the farmers use for an electric fence,cut all the plastic bits off you dont need cut down to 2ft 8 or whatever you like and off you go,they are 1.50 each and they have a metal spike on the bottom ideal for hard ground,i find these perfect
