  1. Keep the rest of you warm and your feet should stay warm too. I wear lined trousers and 2 pairs of socks 1 thin and 1 thicker with either neoprene wellies or goretex boots. I find plenty layers on the top half of your body will help as when you get cold the blood is diverted to the major organs hence the cold feet/fingers etc my feet stay pretty warm that way, always worth moving around if on a riverbank just to get the circulation moving to the extremeties. Plenty food and hot drinks are handy too.
  2. Boil wash or remove all bedding and use diatomaceous earth on the pups and bitch, it's totally non tox and very effective. An insecticide treatment should be done to the kennel too though. The DE will be suitable for that too. http://oaktreepoultry.co.uk/diatomacheous.html
  3. My terrier just swallows them whole
  4. Sounds more like a problem with the people looking after it rather than the dog being at fault! being passed back and forth everyday won't help. That dog wouldn't take much to make a decent ratter by the sound of it with some basic socialisation with other dogs. Bet it only nipped not bit. NO NEED TO KILL IT! FFS take it to the dogs trust instead, it's not gonna breed so wheres the harm giving it a chance with a home that actually has the time for it.
  5. You should never bollock a dog when it has come to you, no matter how tempting. But if you have to go TO the dog then a bollocking and scruffing is defenitly required! Get it on a long lead andd try again, failing that put the dog in a pen with a hornless ram in it! I doubt it would look at another sheep again. It wasn't playing with them when chasing the sheep

    BOXING

Well i fell asleep watchin the audley fight But the Pacquiao/Margarito fight was a proper boxing match!
  7. why take the chance of fleas on your dog and in your house for a few quid every 3 month when the treatment has no decrimental effect on the dog and is only benificial. a working dog is in contact with areas were ticks can be caught and fleas of the prey it is trained to catch surely prevention is better than waiting till you see your dog scatching when by this time house and home coulde be infected. Because treating an animal with no fleas is pointless! It also is the reason that treatments like frontline are less effective when an infestation occurs, routine treatments will leave a sma

  9. Buy new and it will last for years.I have a Brno and it is a great rifle, very accurate! The rifling can get worn out on older rifles, i wouldn't buy a 2nd hand .22 as they can have had thousands of rounds put through them and are often traded in when getting less accurate. You never know what you are getting, Just my view though.
  10. Vigilance is the best prevention for fleas, you shouldn't treat the dog if they don't have fleas. If the dog is scratching then check it for fleas and treat as required, my dog is in the house and i never have an issue with fleas as he gets checked regularly and first signs of fleas he gets treated.
  11. Sounds like they've got some crap in their eyes when working, they will need the eyedrops as above, a rinse out with saline solution will help flush any crap in there too.
  12. Once again the anti's have been stirring up a load of bollox to get in the media I've half a mind to go get the f****r on my wall just for the badness of doing it and the stag too
  13. I bet that's mega smooth by now! Uh huh! Feckin luverly mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
  14. I use the above methods too, it can be worth straining it a couple of times to remove any extra sediment. I have some sloe gin of an 03 vintage in the cupboard mmmmmmm Stick it in cupboard you rarely use and it's a nice surprise when you find it
  15. An imperial is the number of points on the antlers Eg Royal is 12 points and ideally the top 3 should be able to hold a whiskey tumbler, an imperial is 14 points.

  18. Kids first then doe. The kids will often stand and doe move off to a shot but she often won't go too far if a kid goes down to the shot. Always shoot the weakest/smallest first.

  20. You aint gonna chin many big pike easily from the bank, best to have a hook in the net and a thrashing pike than a treble in your hand attached to a thrashing pike, never have an issue with them getting tangled/damaged in a net and i'm out most weekends and if you use barbless/semi barbless hooks it's easy to untangle them. A big enough net solves that issue. The small fish are just as important to look after as the big ones are
  21. You aint gonna get a keepers job at this time of year You will ned to wait till the end of the season when jobs become available
  22. The thing is people go on about him not being able to pass on his genes etc, this is a huge load of bollox! ANY stag can achieve those weights/antlers with the correct food and shelter. Plenty good grazing on fields there. We had an ex park stag on an eatate i worked on, it would've been comparable in size to that beast, he went out and rutted for years with no real improvement in the wild herds, he brought another wild stag back one winter and that stag piled on the weight in the good grazing and sheltered area they lived in too. The gene improvement theory is a load of shit! The exmoor stag
  23. There are 2 postage options i think, one is obviously more expensive but you will not be charged by customs. It states that on their website. Never had an issue when using it
