    hi mate being an ex-pest controller yes i would advise you get someone in BUT if you do decide to go DIY then get yourself throw bags this way the bait stays safe until the rat opens the bag it's self even better are wax blocks in rat boxes these are boxes with a hole in each end the bait is safe in side. if you use loose bait put it in shallow trays up against the walls away from any other animals or birds in tunnels is best shake the tray to flatten the bait then you can see if the rats are using it every day fill up the trays and shake flat until you see no sign off the bait b

    i can't agree more with you wilf as a lurcher man myself i was disgusted two weeks ago when out hunting and checking a earth we found someone had shot a lurcher on the earth and just left for any one to see this is a popular area for walkers ,it's not just lurcher men who get tared with that big brush it's all country sports men and woman good hunting dogdigger

    each to his own i think mate i have a pure laguna whippet and i wouldn't swap him for any cross the lad is asking for advice from people who don't know the ground he is working so helping him the best they can from there own experiences had lurcher for almost 30 years now and had a few different crosses and they all have there good and bad points i think he needs to get out with some local lucher lads and see what they have and how they work dogdigger

    i run a beddy/whippet and a laguna whippet day and night they do both really well the beddy seem to have more patience when ferreting than the whippet good luck dogdigger

    cheers mate i think i might get the gun back and have ago sounds like good sport without having to walk miles and miles make a nice change i just got some permission on a pig farm be a good place to start I've still got the lamp that go's on the scopes just have to get the filter keep you posted dogdigger

    do you use a filter on the lamp or just white light and what sort time do go out shooting them i sold my air gun last year a BSA ultra nice little gun and now got a chance to buy it back for a lot less than i sold it for ( good thing this recession) is it a sit and wait job or do you walk around looking for them dogdigger

    hi mate depends on how bad the break is my son had a spinger that broke it leg but it never set right and turned to one side but i went out a couple of nights ago with another member called brickie who lurcher Broke it's front leg on a ditch on a marsh this dog is now running fine and catching bunnies with no problems. dogdigger
