  1. this is mine mate had him 6 years or so now. one of the best running dogs i have ever had you won't go far wrong with one of mikes whippets but as I have said many times before you only get out what you put in
  2. well done mate good bag, it's nice to leave the little one there for another day but sometimes musts are musts and you have to keep the land owner happy.

  6. i use CSJ it a natural herb based food feed this to all my dogs gundogs , lurchers and terriers they sell a few different types and if you contact ceri from csj she is always happy to help with any questions

  8. hi i always use black pepper for the first few times just dampen your hands and rub it in they hate the taste of it they soon workout you taste like s.;t and stop dogdigger

  15. Try him carrying a meaty bone while on a lead walking- That should start him being used to something in his mouth.When you take it off him give him a treat. After a while attach a dummy to the bone - still on a lead and a treat when you take it from him. Eventually only give him the dummy to carry again on a lead- treat when you take it off him. A little at a time until he enjoys the dummy. good idea mate i'l give it a go and let you know how i get on thanks dogdigger
  16. thanks lads tried the jealousy theory dint work with him tried rabbit skin , pigeon wings and teddy bears and a fluffy pencil case with a dummy and treats in it even tried him on warm game i had a springer once that would never pick up dummy's and my son has a cocker that's the same. thanks "pulling my hair out" dogdigger
  17. got a 10 month old lab good on all the basic training will sit stay for as long as i ask good with shot steady to game flying and running will jump and very well behaved in a hide it just wont retrieve any thing, i'v tried every trick i know in the past i have trained 3 springers and a lab(up to FTCH) but this one has stumped me Any ideas would be helpful Thanks dogdigger
  18. got a few differant coulours on my land the one in the middle of the bonnet is all black but have had one with a brown body and a white band covering the two front legs going over it's back like a band dont know where they came from was told that keepers would put black buck,s down with mixy so they would breed and when they found them dead they knew the mixy had worked and hopfully he had covered the does in that area but not sure how true it is dogdigger

  20. nice pic's mate not doing to bad up this neck of the woods out with a few hounds today up on the moors flushed 6 shot 2. only blanked once this season but still not many to ground. good hunting dogdigger
  21. ye me to same as most of the lads get them all a bottle of whiskey have 4 farms at £10 - £15 a bottle it's not a lot money for 12 months shooting and hunting dogdigger
  22. All called in by hand, have had good night's with the electronic callers but still like to use the old ways the foxes don't hear it much any more so it seems to work
