    I've heard people say that before....just out of interest, why avoid it? I've had ferrets since I was a kid and have always used chicken wire, never had any problems with ferrets escaping or anything. Why do people have a problem with it? i have had hobs in season tug chicken wire & escape from cages in the past , so after that I got some weld mesh & re covered in that if you stick your foot on a piece on the floor & pull it, it stretches & basically becomes weak so are you meaning that a dog or person could get into the hutch rather than the ferret getting ou

    it's not so much the fact a spade is hard to carry, it's just that I like to have a wander with ferret in rucksack every now and again. Kind of hard to look like your average rambler when you're carrying a spade! That will fit inside your coat. I'll make you a strap for it.

    story behind the pic... A lion hounds a little fox at the zoo in Wuppertal, Germany, Friday, June 5, 2009. The fox got into the lions' enclosure by mistake, and obviously had no fun in playing with the big cats. He managed to escape unhurt. I bet it's arse is still twitching now!!!
