  1. Just keep covering her with the dog and then you know you've done your bit. Then sit back and let nature take it's course. Good luck
  2. I get the just off it now, thankyou. Funny I've never came across or heard off a ladder trap before. Very smart invention. All the best off luck with it in the future.......MUDD.....
  3. Forgive me for my ignorance as I'm new to all this trapping kaper. But what stops the birds from flying out threw the ladder again ??? Or is it just in there instinct to fly towards the high sides all the time ??? Good looking job you've done there, fair play to ya. Thanks......MUDD..
  4. I think I'd rather sit in the house than watch u slip your dog at a bunny and at the point when your dogs gonna lift it you blow your stupid whistle And the dog stops in it's tracks???????? buck mental you are fella. I don't get you one bit u nuttbag ha ha
  5. Ha ha your not wise man. Let me get this straight. Are you telling me that your a hunting man and you keep dogs and when your lurchers up the ass of a rabbit ready to pick it up you can make it stop. Just like that ???? Well if that's the case this site definitely gets better by the day..ha ha. Doesn't say much for your lurcher if you ask me...plus why slip the dog on game just to call it off after doing all the work ??? Also this is a terrier forum.
  6. Well if you dont believe that you'll definitely not believe this....I'm sceptical but since I know the lads well I've no reason to doubt them... Two of my mates out lamping dogs catch fox. Other fox comes running in from the hedges and bones one of the dogs and runs like hell. Finish off with the first fox, got dogs back on the slip and then got a go at the ''crazy'' fox... Missed it though..... True
  7. on the rare occasion you can get bitten, it's inevitable. I've been bitten by dogs on a few different occasions when breaking them off and they just take a quick snap and catch you. but there's a clear difference by being bitten by accident and a dog that just lunges for people's faces all the time. I agree once is once too much in that scenario. Bump !!!
  8. Good few points there lads. Look mate if the dogs too hot to handle for a start get him out of the way no ifs or buts, no nice warm baths or lying on the couch. He is a lucky dog to still be alive so get something sorted ASAP. Your bound to know someone that would take him that has the facilities that would suit better than yourself. Maybe they can give you a terrier in return or breed of him and give you a few pups out of him if he's as good as you say !!! You hardly hunt on your own.
  9. I didn't tell him to keep it hope that's not pointed at me wheeler dealer. People bite back too. Just remember that.
  10. Had a bitch like that once. Only she was a wee c..t for scrapping when I was getting them on the leads for a walk. Always boning the other terriers. When I broke it up she tasted me and I sent her the message that I wasnt too pleased about it. Great wee digging bitch very game and always worked very tight to her game. Same thing happened two weeks later only I was ready for finishing her off out the back and for some reason I just didn't bother. Rung a fella explained the situation and that id 3 kids I wouldn't trust her round and he came And got her. He Reckons there's not a bitch in the coun
  11. Just out of interest what do you secure your collarum trap too ? I've seen one before though never used one. Is it the same principle as a snare ?
  12. No rockyandtyson it was a different time that it happened to that fella. He said he was out checking the usual places and he came across the terrier along a bank running in and out barking like mad. Same thing happened to him the terrier ran away and he run one of his dogs only he bolted and dug one out of that spot. It was actually a friend that digs with me had told him what had happened us. I met him out beating cover one day and we had a good laugh exchanging stories. Turned out he wasn't too far away from were it happened to us either. Hard to believe I know, glad I wasn't on my own or I'
  13. Went to a place not far from me early one morning and there was a terrier in the hole working away ?? We could hear it loud and clear. It heard us talking and came out and ran down the field as fast as it could. Wee red scruffy type. Never seen it again. Dropped my black bitch and dug Charlie. Couldnt believe it. Found out after the sane thing happened close by to another fella and he knew who owns the dog. Some old woman down in the village. She let's the dig out for a wander and it doesnt come back for ages at times. Wee dog must just hunt away by himself ha ha. Believe it or not lads. It's
