Yeah I know wat you mean fat man but the one I fish I've signs up saying no tresspassing and no fishing plus I've the farmer well wired off if he see's anyone near it to railroad them. So that's not the reason why I'm not catching if you get me ? Maybe it's just the weather still too mild

10 dogs stolen dungannon northern ireland
mudd dog replied to kaki23's topic in Earthdogs & Working Terriers
I doubt that very much lad. Over here is nowhere near as bad as England/Wales etc for anti's. Im not saying there isn't any but I couldn't see them going to these lengths in n. Ireland. Someone's put the ads up as a joke or a prank and they've backfired on that fella. I'd say someone's seen the ads and location and acted on that and took the dogs. Whoever put the ads up is hardly going to admit to it now when theyve realised whats happened over the height of it. It had to be someone close to him or someone thats came and bought a dog before. That way they could have asked for his postcode for- 67 replies

That's the kind of stories I'm hearing mostly Niall. Do you see any difference this year as to other previous years ????

Tidy looking dog that White one. Looks the ticket. I've a DVD called dog on hog, only it's yanks hunting pigs. It's funny as f..k. Bunch of nutbags jumping into bogs with knives trying to stabb the pig while the Pitts are holding it down. I'm not saying that's the general code of conduct though.

mudd dog replied to kaki23's topic in Earthdogs & Working Terriers
A mate of mine noticed a few different ads on gumtree last week one for a working Lakeland ( taking all quarry ) it said. A name and a phone number to ring. Plus there was a few ads for lurchers for sale also under the same name. Anyone that's fimiliar with gumtree will know you can hide your location or show it on google maps. He found it strange that these ads in particular all had the exact address on the ads. Anyway he rang the fellas number and asked about the Lakeland and the fella said he had no dogs for sale ????? Strange !!! We thought maybe someone was playing a practical j- 67 replies

I take it this is the new box b+f have came up with now, since this barryvox mammoth etc. with the b+f collar are higher rated than the original b+f box ??? I'm away to have a look at this yoke here lol

I know and have heard off lads over the years that have got terriers from the dog pound. after they were run on they worked like f..k. Far from nice looking dogs ! One was even called ''scruff''. Either way they worked so they didn't mind. Big deal

If it works who gives a toss

Yes I totally agree with you there. Though on different occasions when in the field and swapping collars over onto different dogs, I've seen and know people that dont give a rats ass which way the collar is positioned and have argued my point about it. This new box sounds to be an (obviously) improvement on the older one. Though I have no issues with the older one myself, maybe alot of different views and experiences people are having on the old one is incorrect positioning of the collar, on there behalf ???

Go onto u tube and search for pike setup and tips. Watch and take all in, make sure you have the correct unhooking gear and knowledge before you do go out. You'd probably be safer off getting someone experienced to go with you for the 1st few times just to show you how to hold and unhook them correctly without doing yourself or the fish any unnecessary damage or injury......... Good luck......MUDD.......
