its unreal to think your dogs are at threat of being stolen no matter how old you are
-
heres mine with 1/8 of bull in the breeding, she is a decent dog for all eddible quarry will have a go at the red lads but is not single handed.she has never suffered from musle trouble or knocked up feet.her skin is like tissue paper and rips easy she is nervous if you raise your voice and she runs like f**k when the rain comes down hard she dont like wet weather.really for a good dog you want them to be hardy so i say cross a bit of collie in to the mix and you have a better dog

well been running my pup mainly this season, but decided i would take lucy dog out and hit the bunnies see how she done weather was shite but old saying goes you wont catch any in the chair, its only her 3rd time out this season and only had 10 bunnies, went to a few places bagged 20 off the first bit and 7 off the second they were all retrieved to within 10yds (better than last season where she wouldnt retrieve)and she didnt really miss that many.heres a pic

i had one from a pup and got rid of her in the summer at 18month my views were good speed good strike very keen.good at either lamp work or daywork caught all edible game for me but she did lack the stamina for a real hard night on the lamp thats why i got shot of her,lad who got her is over the moon with her he has had lots of daytime quarry and says she is the best he has seen work the long ears and white bums.here is a pic of her with her first daytime hare the first one she ever seen -
well you aint going to be extatic that it never made the grade after you have give it the best you can for 12month or more, thats the only reason you breed isnt it to keep a pup back so of course you would be upset if it didnt make it
-
believe it or not that aint true i seen a lurcher dog pup have a piss lying down when i was at a dog show through the summer.lazy twat
-
some are naturals, some will never do it i got mine retrieving dummys from a pup but now he wont bring in his catch,i need not of bothered teaching him.lol it maybe come to him in time
-
has anyone bred a litter kept a pup back and never made the grade,i was just thinking i bet it would be awful especially if all the litter mates all excelled
-
nice scotty how old is he? he is 15month now

if your having a go at me with 30 runs well i go out to try catch as much as i can i dont expect the dog to have to come home half way through the night he will get hammered like this everytime he goes out lamping and he will either get fitter and last a decent ammount of runs or it will be going and never to buy a bull x again.in my eyes people only like the bull x for there gameness not there stamina mine is half saluki grey half bull grey so should be able to go for decent bags of rabbits,so when people say a bull x is a alrounder and can run all night from your wording there obviously not
-
there you go mate, just young and not fit but doing ok he is fast and has done most thing so far just on the lamp though not a daytime dog under any means
-
she will be 4 when she next comes in to season she just over 3 now
-
well i will be looking for a stud before long for my bitch she is no world beater but has tried hard and done well for me she catches all edible game but to be honest she struggles a bit on the larger stuff as she is very lightly built but does have a go.i will be going for big bags of rabs n long ears mainly but would want to do other things if came across.anybody any ideas what cross to use?i was thinking a good proven hard 1/2collie 1/2grey

I occasionally run two, its not ideal for your retreive but apart from that its no big deal, don't do it with experienced dogs but it can help with youngsters....... i know [bANNED TEXT] your saying mate but just wonderd, you here these people with a few lurchers and just wonderd how they get them all lamping work because runnin two dogs lamping and holding the bag i find it hard with one and surley u cnt tell one to stay while one has a run id love to have another but cnt see how i would make two good dogs outa them unless u can get sum sort off slip lead?? i quite new to the game and jus
