It'll work either way round unless you put an in line dimmer switch in. With a dimmer it needs to be wired correctly or it won't work. Still easy though.

Has anyone else any views on this?

Hi, I'm looking at getting a pulsar n550 sometime in the near future, however I dont want to limit myself to just having it on one of my rifles. Do you think its a wise idea to fit a picatinny rail to each of my rifles with quick release rings so that i can mount the n550 on any rifle and make use of the one shot zero it offers? With these rails and rings am I correct in thinking that the scope should fit back on with very little difference in zero? I know the n550 can be used as a day scope but i've already got reasonable day scopes and feel by using the n550 as a day scope will be a ste

I know of a scope the same as this that might be for sale, it came as a package on a new T3 .223. Literally been used twice for sighting up but swapped for a s&b. Comes with 30mm mounts. Pm me if interested -

I have this scope on my .22lr, its ideal with the SR12 reticle on it. Once you've learnt to use the reticle properly then it is a very handy sight. I find the view goes very cloudy at high mag but if you leave it below 16x then the picture is perfectly clear. I use my rifle for hunting bunnies. I find that its a bit over complicated for my needs with an infinite amount of adjustments. In hindsight I feel I'd be better off with a fixed mag mildot scope as I rarely change the mag any more. ATB Phil Cherrs mate will keep that in mind.Do think its worth the money.? Its difficul -

im with you on that mate, but my mates sister was done.and it says on back of liscence that as long as you have equipment to recieve bbc then you are liable.even watching bbc online through your pc.tbh at times i could quite happily get by without a tv. That's not strictly true, you must have the means to watching LIVE TV, you don't need a license for iPlayer or other on demand channels. ATB Phil

Hi mate, good luck with it all! Stevo has some good advice there for you mate apart from calling the ambulance! no need for an ambo, you've had 9 months to plan how to get to hospital! Broken waters isn't an emergency and ambos aren't taxis!! All the best though mate, hope everything goes well for you and your mrs!

Don't know of anything mate but I'll keep my eyes open for you. Is it just forklift work you want or can you turn your hand to anything? Not driving is a major disadvantage in a fairly rural area but I guess you already know that!! All the best with the search mate. Phil

You could be right mate, it's just one method I've heard of. Worth the price of a tennis ball to find out though!! I thought the tennis ball method only worked with Mercedes? Something to do with them having compressed air locking? Maybe wrong as I'm clearly no expert
-
Has it got central locking? Sometimes half a tennis ball over the lock and punch it. The change in pressure lifts the lock. Or sometimes you can lift the sill at the bottom of the window and slide a coat hanger down to hook around the lock mechanism and lift. Used to work on older motors but not sure on the new ones!

That's what I was worried about, just want to try one to see if I could put up with it! Thanks for the info, it's appreciated! ATB Phil

Hi, I'm being a bit cheeky really, but i'm looking at investing in Night Vision and am considering the Pulsar digisight. I've seen the youtube clips which look ok but i'm wondering if there is anyone in the North Shropshire, South Cheshire, North Wales region that have got one that they wouldn't mind demonstrating to me? I'm thinking of probably having it on the HMR but putting it on my .223 is also a possibility. Any help or advice would be appreciated but ultimately I'm after looking through one! Thanks in advance, ATB Phil

Huntinglife for hunting lurcher people only?
medic1281 replied to baldockbanks courser's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
I agree testosterone or little prick syndrome, either one attracts equal amounts. I don't claim to be the GI jane of lurcher work, my dogs are pets that work sometimes, i will happily dispatch quarry if i need to. I enjoy the countryside and having always grown up rurally and surrounded by working dogs, its not really about "becoming" a lurcher lady, its just a way of life. My dogs run freely in countryside daily and stuff dies, thats what happens. I don't feel that because of that i should stop waxing and start openly swigging larger from cans . . . . . . . Spot on!! Spring air rifle shooting.
medic1281 replied to pianoman's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Great post!! I've been shooting for a couple of years now, completely self taught, and its great to hear advice like this! Its all very basic but absolutely spot on. With out the basics your skill level will top out at a certain level, with the basics mastered then your skill level will continue to improve! I love to read posts like this, and find them extremely helpful reminders of what I should be doing! Thanks for putting in the time to write such advice, i'm sure its appreciated by novice and experienced riflemen. ATB Phil -

Hi, I recently bought a Tikka M590 in .223, its old but great condition and shoots great. I took a while choosing it and the advice I gained from lots of people on here and elsewhere, was that the M590 and M595 are a better gun than the tikka T3. That was enough to swing it for me to the tikka. Just my opinion, hope it helps! ATB Phil
