Cheers for all the advice fellas, rod wise I was thinking of using my carp rod(my mullet rod) for chub and perch and my light bass rod for pike. Cheers.

Hi, anyone know of any good rivers for winter chub fishing in Kent? I'm more of a sea angler than freshwater but willing to give it a go seeing I now live up here. Whats the best baits and rigs? Being the fussy git I am a swim that was easy to get to with safe parking would be great. All the best.

Hi, posted here a few months ago. A mate of mine who I have moved in with has a 2 year old cocker. I have checked his ped and he has lots of worker champs in his breeding. My mate isn't that interested so I take the dog out daily and have got him fairly(my opinion) fit. Hes retrieving well and seems to have a very strong drive. He needs to work but unfortunately I haven't a clue as I have only had bull and terriers in the past and have done a bit with them above and below. Is there anyone out there in the Kent area with gundogs willing to let me tag along and see how he works? I am 100% genuin

Hi, I got a cracking hard little bitch from a F.Wells in Callington in Cornwall about 12 years age. No looker by any means but an absolute demon on anything. Scared of all other dogs but would regulary kill big foxes by beaking, drawing and then choking them. Used her with ferrets but due to my inexperience she was a liability with the ferrets. She also had a tendency to crunch hedgehogs through their backs regardless of their spikes! And as for cats(oops!) say no more. Her brother was a better looker but apparently useless for sport, so there are some out there if you get the right one. But a

Cheers - thanks for the info, just checked out his papers and apparently there are a few FTCHs in his breeding including RIGFOOT TEAL, JADE OF LIVERMERE and WERNFFRWD PAWN. He's only my house mates 2 year old pet but he seems to have stacks of drive and hopefully I will be able to take him out and gets some sport with him as there's lots of land around here, do spaniels bush like terriers and catch rabbits or is it all flushing to guns and birds? Cos I am bang out of shotguns and Harris hawks ha!

Hi, saw my mates dog yesterday which he called a working cocker. He said some people think its a springer/cocker x when they see it. Its chooclate in colour and runs around like a nutcase. I am more of a terrier person myself but just wondering if anyone can shed any light if this breed is still worked. Cheers...

Its typical but my camera phone went tits up a week ago and at the mo I have a cheap pays as you go thing! He passed the cuttle fish on to anther person who said he would keep them for future baits, I presonally would have put them back but hey there you go.

Saw the strangest thing today, I was attempting(very poorly) to catch mullet off a pier in Plymouth when the fella I was fishing with had a good bite so he struck into it and his carp rod bent over, as he pulled it in we realised that he had a 2lb cuttle fish attached to his bread baited size 8 hook! It gets better as when I was about to net this thing an even bigger cuttle fish decided to grab it and munch on it, so we ended up with 2 of them in the net! Anyone else experience this sort of thing??

English x Wheaten hard dogs but a bit too stroppy with other dogs I saw one once in Devon looked a beast and very game by all accounts.
