  1. I have the answer to this problem, it involved the boot of a car, a sack, a bat, and a lonely counrty lane, first you take sack from boot, then proceed to ............... Only joking, as the lads have said, handle as often as poss, are they in the same cage, if so try two different cages, they may be competeing for food, and it sounds like they want the food from the hand, try feeding them from different cgaes and see what happenings.
  2. Frank Nice to see pup coming, looking in good shape. Tell me one thing, does she howl at night, I am told that they can be barkers at times? PS Is that the R.Suck????????
  3. I have never used these lures before, are they the same ones as the bass men use? Best pike lure that I have ever used is called a Nilsmaster, murder pike all day long.

  6. Not to sure how you guys feel about dyed baits, I for one have had plenty of good pike on them. One particular lake springs to mind regarding the use of dyed baits. For the whole of the summer we had fished this particular water with brilliant results , it was a bad day if we had caught only ten pike. The lake held some large Pike, and we did manage to extract on or two of these big un’s., but not them all. I have taken delivery of a large box of fresh Herring that summer and this was our preferred bait, baits was only hitting the water and bang another pike, I am sure the Pike wer

  14. I take it that you are not a serious pike angler DickyN.p.p You kill Pike for the table, in Ireland thats a sin, may god have mercy on your soul.
  15. Name your price, you have two cracking girls on your hands, I love the brindle one, what breed.
  16. JOEB, Pike are very much bottom feeders, The vast majority of large pike on taken on ledgered dead baits. Pike become more active as the water temp rises, and fodder fish become more wide spread. Pike will aslo feed hard on the bottom during he warmer months.
  17. Lads What are you hooking arrangements regarding presenting a dead bait. Most anglers I know use the standard jardine type snap tackle; length of steel with one treble attached to one end of the wire, the second treble is tied above this, to far above the bottom for my liking. My question is what is the distance you prefer between both hooks when you attach the trace to the bait? I like to attach the top treble, the one nearest the swivel deep into the root of the baits tail, the second treble is then attached halfway down the baits flank. The reason I prefer to attach the bottom treb
  18. Never a truer word said. I wrote a piece some years ago in an Irish Magazine and guess what it was about, tackle dealers and the trade who have distroyed our sport with an array of items that are really about catching the angler RATHER THAN THE ANGLER CATCHING THE FISH. Think about it, did the great anglers of the past twenty years use such items, I dont think so. JR
