  1. Dena Lola Sash jade or you can call her what I call mine when you wont come back, Ya little b*****d
  2. Thats a cracking wee sulk you have there Frank. I think that any dog who can stay with a hare is a good un, and to catch it of course.
  3. During the summer we paid a visit to one of our many rivers that hold some very large Pike. Anyway I maganged to catch six fish that day, and guess what this is not the bissest, I was to far up river when I caught the biggest, no camara. This one weighted in at 15 pound.
  4. Some good tips, I would let her stay in the house for a while, milk and then if things are ok with her its off to bed with her. Some nights when its raining she is allowed to stay indoors, she loves it. Simple.
  5. Very good question Frank. As pointed out in a previous post some dogs are ran on the fens, not all UK dogs are run on the fens, so I really don’t think that this is a valid point that TOMO is making, if all the uk dogs were run on the fens and proven themselves then yes indeed there would be some outstanding dogs in the uk. In Ireland as you know we have some very small fields, compared to across the water, our dogs I feel could cope better in these conditions then say the uk dogs who are used to running the fens and much larger fields. So I think that its horse for courses. But
  6. My bitch got a bang of a car some weeks ago, we lost her for two hours, thought she was dead in some field, found her hunting in a field two miles away. I can only guess at how you are feeling at this time. Life has a funny ways of kicking us in the balls when we least expect it, lets hope you can look to the future and keep meg close to your heart.
  7. It kinda nice in a way to see them doing their thing, we came across some cubs awhile back, they were playing in the high grass, tails bobing along the height of the grass, then one stopped to see what we were up to, he came close to us with that cute cub look, we shot the b*****d.
  8. Have to agree, the owner should have stamped her dominance (spelling) on the first sign of aggression, cant blame the dog for that.
  9. Frank just a wee thing that I see every time you post. Your location is Ireland. And you are in the west, not the south.
  10. Here you go - I knew we'd had a dabble at this one before http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/index...showtopic=12258 Just to repeat my post from that time: I thought it worth updating you on an experiment I did in the spring. Before you get too excited it didn't work - but it was interesting. I netted up a set of holes and then dropped in one of those smoke pellets that you use to test chimneys. To start with the smoke just billowed out of the same hole then suddenly it sucked back in, just like a scene from Backdraft. Over the next couple of minutes a brief puff of smoke came o
  11. Bitches, they tend to be a wee bit more easy going, well mine is. I have a dog and he is off the wall, where the bitch takes everything in her stride.
  12. Welcome to the site, hope you enjoy it. John
  13. I had a phone call from Reynardhunter last night and we spoke at great length about hunting. One question that did pop up was the use of a smoker for rabbits. Would this method work as good on rabbits as it does on rats? Has anyone ever tried it?
  14. I would nearly get the boat across and kick f**k out of him myself, what a prick to have a dog in such a state. I know you will do right by this dog, but please do it sooner rather than later.
  15. Great news for you both, nice to know that in this f****d up world there are still some honest people around, all credit to the guy.
  16. Thats the job, now to find a company in Ireland is another job, thanks again.
  17. Many thanks for replying. The unit I am looking for sits onto the tow bar, it comes as one unit, no wheels attached.
  18. I had no intention of posting but here goes. The church over here is like the mafia, how many cases of abuse have they covered up in the past? I find it hard to take a priest seriously these days due to the high numbers of them who were involved in the abuse of our children, I don’t attend mass, nor do my children, the church has reeked havoc among our younger folk, at their height of power the church was unstoppable, they could do what they wanted at will and answer to nobody, well the tide has turned and they have very little respect from the people. When you talk of god you ar
