    Two things it is illegal for a vet in scotland to dock a pups tail wether chipped or not and the certificate is only Evidence that would get you both convicted in court. What was the other thing? oh yes this is an open site don't be surprised to get a chap at the door and your pup captured.

    When did they change the law to force the public to join basc before they could excercise their Right to shoot wildfowl on the foreshore below the high water mark? I would suggest you join one of the organisations offering insurance and advice because you definately need both for wildfowling in Scotland as the recent accident shows.

    Like a lot of terriers in the early 70s some of these lines were sent up to scotland to work during the winter and went back down to do the round of shows during the summer.One from Tysons lines a bich called moll was used up here she worked everything from deep setts to pit bings she had to be rescued from a pit bing and survived it she was a sister to Tysons mockie and she would still win shows to day.

    You are also not limited to two dogs but for fox hares mink the intention must be to shoot them at first safe opportunatey,if you have any specific questions pm me ATB

    Check protection of wild mammals act scotland on the scottish govt website as the info at the top of the forum is for england and wales only and is not law in scotland.

    You will notice the question comes from someone in scotland where the protection of wild mammals act is in force so you can use as many dogs as you require to flush foxes as long as the the fox is shot as soon as its safe to do so.You can also use terriers in pest control to protect lambs etc both my terriers are used for this purpose. There was virtually no argument put forward for lurchers in scotland because most of the people who used them didnt bother to lobby msp's so the msp's disregarded them.Some people tried to get extra evidence days for lurchers but the then rural affairs comittee

    Tempted to shoot what you cant positively identify easiest way to lose your rifle. If you ask the question what is it you cant/ shouldnt shoot it.remember its very difficult to unshoot something.

    Go on the National Working Terrier Federation website and find out your nearest terrier club join that and learn from experienced terriermen they will also help if you get a terrier stuck remember the only reason we can still legally work terriers is because of the fight put up by the Federation.Good luck.

    Sorry to hear of your problem someone will eventually come across with a name just remember in Scotland its the SS pca and its a police investigation crime stoppers number is 0800 555 111.With scum like this dont hesitate these same people will take your dog off your kid while its being excercised.

    The rspca does not operate in Scotland they only siphon funds from the SS pca.we cleared foxes from golf courses and zoo's with terriers.
