hi all, ive decided to sell my air arms s410 carbine,its a .22 calibre and in very good condition,it has 3-9-40 simmons sights,two 10 shot magazines,silencer,webley stirrup pump,and a tin of air arms "field" pellets,it also has the fixings ready for a shoulder carrying strap,its a pre anti tamper ,the reason im selling it is to fund another project because having owned it for the past 18 months ive never used it,im not sure how much power it puts out as ive only fired it on a couple of occasions.its a really clean,good condition rifle,its also for right handed people. im asking £4

thanks for your replies guys, boiled linseed oil sounds good to me i will try that, it will look so good when its finished and when i use it, it will take me back to my childhood again,im so pleased. ive re-whipped the new eyes on today and have just started the varnishing!!! so thanks again peeps tl

hi mate, thanks for your input,but normally i dont do any thing to them either but on this occasion i have renovated my 30 year old rod from when i was a young boy,i literally stripped the rod bare and rebuilt it back to its original state,there fore i reused the original cork and lightly sanded it back leaving it look new but bare,so i fill it needs a sealer on it to protect it,but what? thanks tl.

hi, just a quick question,what do you seal a cork handle fishing butt with? for example do you put varnish on it? or maybe an oil? your thoughts please, thanks tl.

I dont feel I need to justify my hunting with guns because I know what I would shoot with the appropriate shot or I would not attempt to shoot the animal. The time between each shot has no bearing on the situation, its the caliber of shot for a humane kill. If no one had put an opinion on this topic, a novice hunter, wrongly, would think that using a 28g 7.5 load would be ok for foxes ! If a youngster with a shotgun asked the question "what shot and load do I need to shot foxes?" it wouldn't even enter your head to say such a light load, so why am I made to feel that I am making a fu

personally i wouldnt have even thought about taking a shot, if i had had 28g 7.5 shot! let alone tell anyone. anyone making that comment certainly doesnt get my respect. its beyond me why people would use 28g 7.5 shot in the field any way. i bet that fox was happy to take a head shot from the 2nd barrel as it would have been in agony from the 1st. there's hunters,and then there's hunters!!!!!

hi, i know a lot of people use cross bred dogs but has anybody ever had a beddy x whippet x collie,as i havent seen any talked about,is it that this type of cross wouldnt be any good? or is there no point to the cross? i would be interested to know what other peoples thoughts were about this cross! it would be for rabbiting. also i have noticed a lot of people asking if a pup from a cross bred, "is this the first cross?" what is the significance? is it better to have the 2nd or 3rd? thanks TL

hi, after reading all your replys it seems that my choice of words are wrong about these cartridges for that i appologise, it must be that this cartridge does not suit my gun or me.i will go back to my original cartridges. thanks for your input. TL

hi, i went out on the fields today for a bit of pigeon shooting,cos I was gonna try some different cartridges. Out of the seven I got only one was a clean kill and all the others weren't even near dead. One shot just maimed and didn't kill them. I had to kill them my self which I have never had to do before. I really believe that these new cartridges that I got are to blame. In all my time of shooting this had never ever happened until today. I was hitting them at the correct distance and on impact you knew you had hit the bird cos of all the feathers that flew off them and yet they

hi all, davy,i have answered your pm,thanks. markha,no it wasnt that cheap one advertised the other day,this one wasnt even advertised just word of mouth. phantom,i must admit i pumped it up to 200bar as instructed,and put quite a few pellets through it untill it went down to around the 100bar mark but there wasnt no change in power? when you say that they arnt regulated,is there a regulater i can buy to put on it or does it not work like that?,im new to these pcp guns and only ever had the spring and pump types. TL

hi, i have only just got a aa s410 carbine second hand,and its only pushing out about 9.00 lbs,it only just knocks a coke can over at 30yards with a bent,my brothers webley mk3 smashes the coke can at the same distance,its only about 6 months old and not had that much use,its a really clean gun,what can i do to get it up to 12lb pressure? its really pi**ing me off as i thought these guns had a really good name? i cant go out hunting with it as it wouldnt kill anything properly and that aint right! if any body can give me some good advice i would really appreciate it. you can pm me if need

hi nathgoon, welcome to the game mate,most people use 30-32grm no6 shot,try a few different brand to start off with and find the one that suits you and your gun. thanks TL
