  1. Sorry to hear that! But how did you both manage to get run over? Was the dog on a lead?
  2. Thats cruel beyond cruel!!!!
  3. Thanks Catcher, There are 1 or 2 good people out there selling genuine dogs but its picking them out in between the peddlers and ner`do wells.
  4. Thats not always the case, I bought a 3 yr old lamping dog and he does everything the man said he does, except now he does it a little bit better, before I had him he only came off the lead or out of the pen to lamp, he was never walked and exercised unless he was out working. I have had him for 4-5 weeks now, I walk him every night and lamp him 2-3 times a week he is now doubleing his bag from when I first had him. I didnt know the guy he came from, I bought him from the "pre loved" website, I didnt pay alot and took a chance, I asked why he was selling him and he told me he had a few too m

  6. I was just showing you mine of the same type, he definately isnt for sale...lol
  7. I just bought the sort of dog you described there a few weeks ago, but mine has whippet in him also. He is bred... Sire: Saluki x whippet Dam: Bull x grey hound He stands 23-24 tts and 3 yrs old, he is 110% lamping dog, he jumps and brings back live to hand.He is excellent with kids and other dogs and will take anything you put up in front of him. I am over the moon with him, I hope you have the same luck as I did getting mine. All the best. Here he is...
  8. Advice 1... The golden rule dont ever take anyone to your kennels unless you know them meet local to your house Advice 2... If you are buying a dog. Pick the dog up from the home. Ask to see the mother and father.Have a good look at the kennels.Dont meet at some place you dont know and hand over cash. Its all so confusing.... If your a seller sell the dog away from your home, if your a buyer make sure you buy the dog at their home. I cant see many deals being done
  9. I feed a working dog dry food, its a VAT free deal and costs £9.28 for 15kg. It contains 23% protein. What do you guys use as an everyday feed?
  10. Im hoping he gets eaten by a big grizzly bear!!! lol
  11. Keep them dry and warm but dont mollycoddle them too much,
  12. I bought a lurcher dog a few weeks back just for a bit of lamping, because the ground has been quite hard I have only taken him out a few times, the last time about 10 days ago, after the last run I saw the dog had broken his toenail off on his back foot 2nd nail in, it was bleeding so when I got home I cleaned it and put an antiseptic spray (violet) onit and have repeated it every other day. He can run ok but sometimes he will hold the foot up, there looks to be no infection. What should the healing time be on this sort of injury... 3 weeks?
  13. This site makes me laugh, if someone trys to sell a dog they are either lying about the breed or they are peddlars, I think unless someone is interested in a dog for sale they shouldnt comment on it and ruin a thread. If the person advertising is thought to be a peddlar tell admin and let them sort it out, dont be vigilanties, too many have their say when it isn t wanted or needed on this site. imo
  14. Good thread with great photos, thanks for sharing!!
  15. Cant believe you havent sold this dog yet!!
  16. Sunny south east...lol different country!!!!
