  2. collie whippet called kaz a liitle cracker and a great ratting dog.
  3. little jrt come on a bit quicker than some terriers so i would agree with some of the comments get it out walking with the other dogs as soon as possible and broke to the ferret straight away at 5-6 mths old let it see whats going on with the other dogs you may be suprised however dont start the pup to young you dont want it getting any bad bites and jibbing on you the little dog should be taking rats 9-12mths old.
  4. fantastic pics and a great day had by all well done.
  5. the old dogs will certainly be up for a bit of ratting ill bet ,get the piccies up soon.
  6. done mine a few wks back as you say a bit earlier but look at the weather.
  7. yes some good points frank but other things you need to take into account everything is rush rush now and less time is devoted to families, pets working dogs, what have you, also not everyone has plenty of bunny permission to work there dogs on a few times a week, me i used to be out a good bit now i have a family now the dogs are walked a lot in the week the lurcher will go out nearly all the time with me ie shooting, rabbiting, ratting, she is very handy and wouldnt be without her she is kept inside and is also a pet i have a good bond with her and the terriers and because of this i find they
  8. very nice mate got a few borders between me and the mates great characters.
  9. noticed the old lurcher having a go aswell all good stuff putting a smile on her face and her tail wagging i would bet.
  10. you may find that no matter what you do you may have to part with one before the other ends up toasted.
  11. getting permission is hard enough and easy to lose so not everyone will take the chance,in the past there will of been more than a few people who have had permission poached i do a lot of ratting but basically i keep it to a tight group who you know no offence is meant by it buts that is the way its going unfurtunately.all the best to you and your dog you never know you may get an invite.
  12. yep as above try special delivery though get it insured incase it dissapears.
  13. bloody hell what awful news
  14. i wouldnt worry to much these things happen it wont do any harm to the pup just dont take them out together again just keep taking your two dogs out together they will get bettere everyday also the pup wont forget and wont always be small the mates terrier needs to be careful or it might get a good shake when the pup is older.
  15. just a bit of friendly banter no slagging of i can see. and a nice pic of the terriers anyway mate.
  16. i have a 410 k in 22 does the job can highly recommend it and shots a fill you aint going to need a 100 shot fill anywhere that i can think of also dont forget the weight with the kit on it ie scope lamp etc 410k is a very light gun deadly accurate.
  17. i can see why ian has been hassling you top pictures keep it up.
  18. quote reload. Hes famous as a prolific stud dog, from a kennel that produces at least 2 litters a year, took Fox Rabbit Hare is about as much as I can ascertain..Nothing that special TBH Not many people can breed a guaranteed 2 litters a year and keep one for there own use, train and work them?? So It makes sense WHY soo many pups are coming out with the name Sooty sam attached to them...££££££££, The Laguna thing is a con too, its some elses affix, built on a OLD reputation by someone else. Marketing, and a name is what your buying into.... I am not saying they are not good
  19. this question was only asked by me the one time and i just wanted an honest opinion and didnt get it, all i here is sooty this sooty that and before anyone goes on i have worked terriers and lurchers for 28 yrs and part of the team is a black whippet that was bought for the grand total of 170 quid this dog has been the best 170 quid my mate has ever spent so i just wanted an honest answer i think thats fair enough.
