  3. so in theory when im WALKING my dog and he chases somthing even a rabbit im breaking the law as its not my permission just common land even though im only walking him not hunting, i walk him on the land everyday and see roe everyday, if i see them before the dog i put him on the lead but on the odd occasion they will appear from nowere and the dog will chase them so im breaking the law, right? what about the old woman i see everyday with a border terrier chasing roe and everything else, is she breaking the law? i think the police would be more interested in me than the old lady even t
  4. i used to have a collection of knives and swords on display in my room but when my girlfriend moved in we re decorated and the collection went in the shed, i dont really want to get rid of them because i spent years and good money getting them all, sentimental value and all that, but would i get into trouble for having them??

    heres a link for a falconry forum you will find alot of infomation, theres a starter pack full of info too. getting a bird is not somthing to rush into, they need alot of time and knowlage, iv been going out with my mate for 6 years and still learning new things, read a few books first and try and get out with someone, edited as the links not workin but its falconryforum.co.uk

    males are usually too small for hares, the females are better suited as there heavier, the can take pheasants and other gamebirds but they have to be very fit, males are usually faster than a female but still can get out flew by a pheasant, i was out with a male and a female both 09 birds on tuesday, both put in good flights on pheasant, rabbit, and a partrige but both wernt fit enough and the bag was empty, still good fun though sam
  7. there was one for sale on a falconry forum for 600 quid, i heard the ferruginous are not sutible for a novice so not sure what it would be like crossed with a red tail, still a nice looking bird, looks very powerful wouldnt like to get footed by it

  9. quick update on the dog, took him out for a mooch with my mates boxer and hes spent the past 2 hours running about and playing with the other dog, flushing pheasnts ect so seems normal in himself, his poo was like water but green-yellow ish colour but no blood, hes drank plenty of fliuds (cheers for the tip about the milk hannah) and managed to eat abit of food when he came in, my girlfriend rang me and told me he was playing with some old tomato plants at the bottom of the garden an monday morning, i heard there not good for a dog, should i take him to the vets or will he be ok
  10. cheers i think ill take him to the vets tomorrow just to be on the safe side unless theres any change today, if he eats and gets plenty of fluids i wont bother
  11. cheers for the advice hannah, he does seem slightly dehydrated but iv seen him drink this morning so it could be me thinking he is, ill try him with some chicken later, he was scrounging for my toast this morning and ate that when i give him some but wont eat his food which is unusual, iv seen no blood in his vomit or feaces but he was abit loose
  12. my dogs been off his food since monday, hes eat a little but not much usualy he licks the bowl clean, then he threw last night, his stools have been abit loose too. somone suggested feeding him scrambled eggs with rice but he wasnt interested. he seems happy enough in himself still runs about when on a walk ect but is abit quite which i would expect if his tummy is upset, should i be worried??? anybody got any advise

  16. kept both in and out and imo i dont thik it makes a difference, i very rarly have the heating on and somtimes i can see my breath its that cold, just put a jumper on lol ( im a tight twat), the dog somtimes shivers in the house and when out wind rain snow hail dont seem to bother him that much, i prefer my dog in the house its good company as im not workin atm plus im out mooching alot

  23. cheers for the advice skycat, iv only worked him a few times on the lamp and took him ferreting twice, road walked daily and took mooching most days for at least an hour
