I think that upto the end of the 50s governments broadly thought in terms of what was good for the nation, a people first kind of mentality…..hence capitalism and commerce were tempered with state ownership and regulation to give the best overall result for the nation. I don’t think he has had to fall back on North Korea, I think it’s simply a good opportunity for North Korea to get some real war fighting experience into its military. The economic situation of most Russians has improved beyond their wildest dreams under Putins tenure…..it’s just a fact.
