Let me attempt some sensible dialogue...... Do you always take headlines at face value? Where did it say anything about being “hounded” or that anyone was telling people “what to do” ?........or did you just imagine that’s how it is? In the BBC article I read it said that they had banners, handed out literature and tried to enter into conversation to see if they could offer alternative advice?.......oh, and they held prayer sessions. Ahh, but this is the crux.....you can’t have one without the other. If you let them take away one then you have already given permission to take away the other.......you have in effect set the rules for having your own rights revoked. But, you knew that part anyway mate.....I’m not telling you anything new.

Now that’s part of a massive and different debate mate. We have thing that are fundamentally wrong in our society and that need fixing......and, I totally get what you are saying. However, if we don’t start to deal with small things at a time then we deal with nothing....that’s just my personal opinion. But as I say, that’s a much wider and massively more complicated debate.

It’s an acute medical condition and the poor girl had no choice. Its very, very sad and you would have to be totally heartless to not feel sympathy for the girl. edited to add: When we talk about these women like they are all a victim, the poor girl in that story really is a genuine victim. I don’t think a blanket ban is either realistic or indeed fair in some cases. But as it stands getting an abortion is like buying chips.....it really is that easy. And I think people loose sight of the fact that killing a baby is as easy as buying chips.......it should be a whole lot more weighty affair and the conditions for having one much more stringent. Im not a fan of banning things, there’s far too much of that and plus, in the UK and across most of the world that particular Pandora’s box is already open and closing it is just not an option. No I got that mate, I just think the example is coming at the argument from the wrong end. As I understood it, in CJs example something HAS GOT to die where as in the vast majority of abortion cases NOTHING HAS to die. In Chris example you make a choice and something lives.......whereas if you are visiting the clinic you make a choice and everything dies.

Just wanted to add, I was guilty of getting dragged into a debate about the morality of abortion.......this thread was never about that. It was about if people who want to protest/offer alternative advice/make prospective woman think again have the right to do that without restriction as long as what they do is legal. And I think they do.

I think you find that the number of abortions for an actual, real medical need where the women’s health is at stake are infinitesimally small. Eveeything else is lifestyle choice or a method of contraception.

What are they then?.......if you are killing a baby then you are pretty much a baby killer. If an anti shouted “Fox killer” at me I would go crying to the news about it because they had hurt my feelings.....after all, they are only stating a fact Its not subtle and it’s not polite but some people have more manners than others.....
