    I hear you mate, but I think the crux of the matter is this, sometimes you can’t fight the unreasonable with reason......in order to have sensible constructive debate both sides need to entertain it.........you are an intelligent bloke, you can hold a reasoned debate and make your argument but if I just screamed “Nazi” in your face every time you opened your mouth eventually you’d just think “oh f**k this” and punch me in the face!

    I don’t in any way support violence or harm to others in any way at all, and what more I don’t advocate it either. However, that does not preclude me from understanding why it happens and how normal people can be made to feel that monstrous acts are their only recourse. Germany didn’t have a million monsters just living among normal folks waiting for the time to strike.......those people were made to feel that’s all they had left, their only option for survival of everything they held dear. To them it was a fight for the very survival of their own culture, nation and rights....

    If Blair showed the modern left anything it was that if you present a lie in the right packaging and say it often enough it becomes true. If nations are forced down the road of 1930s Germany then some groups are going to get blamed just as they did then........refusing to acknowledge that a LOT of normal people have a genuine concern and just labelling them Nazis will see the group doing the labelling bare the brunt.......and they will have no one to blame except themselves.

    Joe, Don’t be rediculous man, the only country that controls its own destiny is one where it’s own parliament and it’s own ability to make law is sovereign and no state parliment is sovereign to the main EU parliment or law........that’s just a fact. You can be demorcratically independent imho, that’s completely different to being financially independent......but then again, no business in the work can operate alone but the governance of that business can indeed be a solitary thing.

Lol As a left leaning person, do you think the left has done itself any favours by trying to stifle debate, shouting down and calling names anyone who they don’t agree with.....indeed making laws to stop speech they don’t approve of? I mean, a person may find what another is saying abhorrent but surely the best remedy is to let them say it and then decent people can make up their mind.......pushing the debate under ground surely only lets the hatred fester? Name calling isn’t really helping is it?
