I totally agree with that, said for ages that’s the way it’s going to go.....and in fairness, with the money needed by top league clubs, it’s the way it has to go. One funny thing to come from all of it is, now football is safe you see all the wanna be thugs crawling out the woodwork. I have a really good pal, lovely lad bless him. For some reason the one that always sticks in my mind, although a fairly short fight, was Alan Minter v Haggler. I even clearly remember the morning after, driving over to Wapping with my old man and listening all about the event the night previous on the radio. Funny what sticks with you.

Just to add.....I see lots of people saying “I don’t think folks will put up with this or that” ”They can’t do that, we voted” I just don’t think folks have grasped the gravity of your situation over there......you have been in a war for ages and you are about to get the coup de gras......it’s not just starting, it’s nearly over lads. All the argument is a bit pointless really, I said and believed 3 years ago they would never give Britain independence and I still beleive that.....the most you will get is in name only and then it will be the complete hijack of the UK in a way much worse than you had before......it’s actually been a gift to the EU from what I can see if it. Talk of “civil war” is complete nonsense, the EU and the Government (that YOU elect) will put almost everybody back in their box with a quick 2 % increase on the interest rate......it will literally cost them a phone call to bury all resistance.

Maybe he just realised what he is and that it’s probably never going to be any better than that for a player like him.......why is he going to commit suicide? I mean, look at us with Carroll....we all know the craic with him but hey, it is what it is. We were stupid enough to employ him and we haven’t had the bottle or the legal position to do anything about it so he just cracks on......it’s small potatoes really in the scheme of a football club. Mind you mate, when that Jock chief exec was trying the morality craic about Rodwell I had a wry smile on my face......a club that has had as many managers as your club and a chief exec who’s just presided over the shortest management tenure in the clubs history trying to lecture a player about morality in football. I sort of took the view watching that of, why should the lad just throw away 70 large a week? He has a contract, they agreed it, they forgot to put the clause in the contract to drop his wages......too bad. Players have a short career and to be fair, I’d want 70 grand a week to stare out the window and look at Sunderland every day ! Lol lol

There’s a lot of fans dreaming of being an oil sheiks play thing, it’s no way to build a football club imho.....not my cup of tea. Short was a billionaire owner who pumped in vast sums of money and you are still st the place you are at, so what’s the problem? You don’t get to be a billionaire by making bad choices about your management team imho........so something else is wrong at that club. That ground is a millstone around your clubs neck at the minute mate, that will be costing a fortune to run and you just could do without it at the minute I’m guessing.

Wasn’t trying to insult you big lad, it’s just how it came across in the documentry. You have no doubt been the victim of bad management and bad decisions given all the money that Short pumped into the club........but that didn’t detract from what I said, and as I say, I do understand it was an edited TV programme mate.
