    There’s a massive difference between an honest days dirt and sweat and people you can see are just dirty b*****ds all the time mate, you know that yourself. Theres genuinely a number of blokes (and some women) who you see all the time around town who always reek of stale piss, shit, sweat or a heady mixture of all 3 ! Always got the same filthy clothes on, dirty unkept hair……just soapy b*****ds. That ain’t the same as a lad grubby from graft you see about day to day.

    I think I read years ago that dogs get energy from fat. I used to get sacks of all the stuff the butcher threw out….never bothered me feeding them big chunks of white fat. One thing I will mention and that I have said before is, we eat a lot of herbs and spices in our dinners…..turmeric, masses of garlick, ginger, cumin and all sorts of other stuff. My dogs get all the leftovers and never need chemical worming, ever ! I may just do a course as a precaution every few years IF I think they may need it….but it’s very rare. I used to do a very physical and sometimes dirty job, if we was clearing basements or storage areas or a factory you’d get absolutely rotten and soaked with sweat (the worst was the old Charringtons brewery) …….but I got home, had a shower, then in the morning I’d have another whenever I got up, be that 4am or 7am, clean kit, have a shave, comb my hair and head out fresh and tidy and ready to go.     I have an old collie x spaniel here, we found her on the front door step 10 years ago and she has been with us ever since.     My oldest lad had a go on the one at Rock Barracks when he was little when we was down visiting Stiff years ago…..then we lost him and some kind paratrooper found him and fetched him back ! Lol, dad of the year ! lol

    I watched the first episode of that Marine documentary on Netflix last night (US marines !) I genuinely can’t watch anymore !……..what a bunch of f***ing morons !     Was out scoping out a few fishing spots today, not stopped raining for nearly 3 weeks and the rivers are well up and the Loughs holding a lot of water….cant get near the sides in some places. Found a couple of spots that will be ok.
